APCOA Unpaid Parking charge Notice

Hi there,
Sorry if the answer has been clear but the ones I read were all a couple of years old I dont know if its changed - I received two unpaid Parking Charge Notices saying I had not paid the £50 Charge Notice for either of these in December 2013 - I do not remember receiving two of these tickets in one week - any I do have I always pay straight away and would have paid for these two, but my argument is: I do not remember receiving anything stuck on my window, I have rung to challenge these and they have said I need to pay, what are my rights can I just ignore these letters and any future correspondance from them? In the letters were photos of my car parked and the time, but it never showed the notices stuck to my car - which I am adamant I never received...
Thank you

this thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822 tells you all you need to know

a lot of private car parks use anpr and not windscreen tickets, my advice is appeal to the ppc and then appeal to popla (as RK)
  • Twigs11 can you start your own thread please - then the advice wont get crossed between others for this one.

    anpr? ppc? popla?! Help!!

I have no understanding of any of these words... I got a letter from APCOA Parking, it then said from First Capital Connect Parking, a "Notice to Owner/Keeper. It had my address in the corner, and in the letter said "as we do not know either the name of the driver or their current serviceable address, we request that you either pay the full amount outstanding as noted above..." etc etc - which has now gone up to £75.

Which part of "can you start your own thread please" was difficult to understand? And if you'd read the thread linked you wouldn't have even had to ask your follow-up questions.

    Hi there,

I am getting confused by advice saying "ignore" and then "dont ignore" these tickets, I just wanted to know what I should do with two letters sent to me saying I now need to pay £75.00 as I had not paid a parking charge notice twice in December 2013. In both letters there is photo evidence of my car with no "visible payment" There is no reason I would not have paid for these fines, and am therefore wondering whether anything was ever left on my car for me to see that I had a fine in the first place. I would like to know what the next step is, I saw in another thread someone said to just write a letter back saying basically I refuse to pay the fine and they have no grounds etc etc... Can I do this?!

You need to read the Newbies sticky thread at the top of the forum. This has ALL the information you need.

Step 1 - read the NEWBIES sticky thread. (Near the top of the list of threads where you went to create this new thread).

Step 2 - if anything is still confusing, ask away in here. (But see Step 1 first. Maybe have a pen and pad to note down items that apply to you, then re-read those items).

You need to read the NEWBIES thread which calls to you to 'read it first' at the top of the forum:

It helps us not to have to repeat what you can easily read first, there.
