any chance of a pic so we can see just how much this 'eyesore' is affecting your quality of life?!

i wonder why the old tennants moved out..............and if you deal with neighbour disputes you should know you dont know the value of good neighbours till their gone!
  • Personally, I'd be starting by phoning up Sky and telling them time/date/location of the work and that previous installers had made the same mistake and making a "jokey" comment to effect of "It was the trainee work team on again was it? joke...joke" (implication being that experienced installers wouldn't have been so daft as to infringe on a neighbours territory...so it must have been the Dimbo Team that did it) and saying that its not possible for them to have on it my territory and I won't be giving permission for that.

Then I'd ask them what date they proposed to come and shift it to a more suitable location (ie not over my garden).

I'd then go and make a "jokey" comment to my neighbour about it having been the Dimbo Team on duty that day obviously and I'd let Sky know about this, "so I expect they will be round soon to put it right" and letting my neighbour get the drift that I had done them the favour of notifying Sky of their mistake for them. "Right...now howzabout a cup of coffee and we'll commiserate about Bad Workmen We Have Both Had" type tone of voice.

Then expect a jokey F off.

Must be living next door to chavs or benefit claimants if they can afford to have Sky.......
  • Can the OP post a pic of this over hang? Great way to ruin a relationship have neighbour . Houses are rarely built to the boundary so would love to see how much this overhang really is.
  • I'd love to see a pic or two as well
I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.

lots of people dismissing the OP's concerns and suggesting he's a bad neighbour.

To me it is fairly clear who the bad neighbour is, and I'm sure it is possible to be quite so dismissive if it is your own property that the neighbour was taking liberties with...

Still want to know why people think it is anything to do with Sky, and indeed how the OP knows the dish is being used for Sky.
  • A bad neighbour, trying to profit from this situation is hardly a great neighbour. Try to see if he can find a way to bill the neighbour for the overhang in his airspace smacks to me of an opportunist.
