You'd probably be better off on a single tariff then.
Try reducing your flow temperatures to the point where you are just about comfortable then tweak it up a bit. Likewise see how cool you can manage to run your hot water temperature - we can get away with 45 degrees. There's enough in our 200litre tank to last us for more than a day as we only use it for showers & washing - it's only on for an hour or so a day and the tank is really well insulated. We have one sterilisation boost a week to 60 degrees for half an hour. I've got it timed for Saturday lunchtime and the tank stays hot enough to not need heating again until Monday morning. I'd do it less frequently but the controller can only do once a week.
Have you got weather compensation and is it enabled and can you adjust it yourself. I've got ours set so that the flow temp is 25 degrees when its 15 degrees outside and 40 degrees when it's zero outside which means the flow temp is around 30-35 degrees most of the time. I can also set it back overnight (10pm to 6am) by 5 degrees so the building doesn't cool down much but the power consumption is reduced. All the room stats set back by 3 degrees as well so the pump doesn't run much overnight unless it's really cold outside. Our lounge temperature for instance generally only varies between about 16-19 degrees. Even at 17 it doesn't feel coldNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
Agree with the points that matelodave has said, re supply change and checking the outside sensor flow temps.
The only thing that I would question is the flow temp set-back, as for underfloor the usual recommendation is about 1.5C or 4C for rads. Would be interesting to see the pump running hours after the restart from that reduction and whether the electric boost has to cut in as well.
Another thought. Has the outside sensor been overidden by the internal one. If so, your high consumption could be caused by the temperature drop after the multifuel stove cools. Where is the internal thermostat for the pump located ... I hope not in the living room!!As Manuel says in Fawlty Towers: " I Know Nothing"0 -
Our booster heater has been set so it wont come on until the outside temperature is -5 likewise the hot water immersion only comes on for the sterilisation phaseNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0
