But it's not me that thinks the article needs updating.

I was asked if I felt the article needed updating

    I answered yes.

That's because, ideally I feel that it should be clear that people should have a valid reason for their mis-sale complaint. At present, it seems as if the stance is - I had PPI, so I'm going to reclaim it. It sounds like it's some sort of entitlement to a refund. If it was mis-sold, then that's fair enough, but believe it or not, not every PPI policy was mis-sold

However, in answer to the next question, no I have not emailed MSE about it. Frankly, I'm not that bothered about it, and I'm certainly not going to be badgered into it be some person on a forum!

I wonder if anyone can help me...over the years, I have had several payday loans, long term loans, a credit card and an overdraft. I have now paid most debts off but am wondering if I will have had PPI on any of them that I can claim back? I have no paperwork for any of these loans, etc anymore...any suggestions on what to do please??? Thank you x

If you bought the payday loans over the internet, it's unlikely you'll be able to complain about any [if there was] PPI added as you will have been made aware of this before you finished your purchase.

The first thing to do is see if you paid it, so contact whoever supplied you with the loans/credit cards ad if they can't tell you if the debt is oo old, you'll have to send a SAR and £10 to each company to see if hey have any paperwork left.
