Currently on JSA & mortgage help - do I lose it if I get married?

    OP you are getting married anyway no matter what.

    After the event ring the DWP and tell them about your change of circumstance
    Tell them you and your new wife live apart and will continue to do so and see what happens then.
    You must have thought this out, either the Dept will say its ok and carry on as before eg you get JSA and SMI or will say no your wife works full time and we will close your claim... At this point you could then appeal or accept it.

    Hopefully you will find full time work soon, and I wish you well in this

    What ever the rights and wrongs its an SDM decision and I think this could go either way

    A lot of couples live apart married or not, and there are many a lone parent some with four or five children with the same father who maintain separate households for what ever reason.

    Most married couples live together but there are quite a few who don't....
