Would it be fair to say that throwing someone off a moving train or knocking someone out is not really constructive advise?

had I seen what was going on I would have simply knocked him out,

He would be off the train well before me, and before we reached any station

So the consensus from the learned members of this forum is that she should have either:

    a) Dialed 999 and reported him to the police as a stalker.

    b) Assulted him, leaving him unconscious.

And to think she came here for good advise...

    :rotfl: And it's completely true!
  • The OP was mearly followed off the train by the conductor, she was not stalked by anyone.

If she follows the advise given by some people in this forum to report the train operators employee to the police as a stalker, she may find herself charged with wasting police time.

She wouldnt fine herself being charged for wasting police time as if she puts it better. Something like
The train manage followed me in a stalkish way then shouted abuse at me threading me if I bum into any of his business on his train he would assult me, etc. This way, she got to use the word stalk and but not reported it as stalking hence no wasting police time.

No, not really. Stalking either is or isn't.

There is no such word as stalkish because of that.

    Would scratching be stabbedish?

Firstly did I say stalking? No I did not, I used stalk. Sometime people add ish to words to create a different meaning.

Was there such a word as Internet in the past? No its only in the last 100 years, so does that mean seen the word Internet was made up it should be used.

So with this in mind scratching would be scratchish or scratchingish I dont know whre you got stabbedish because that is a completely new word.

And we have to think the OP wanted support and advice not for all the trolls to come out a play.

This is how the English language works. If I wrote "No, not really. Stalk either is or isn't." that would not read correctly and needs to be "No, not really. Stalking either is or isn't.". The word is derived from stalk and has exactly the same meaning http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stalking. You would use the word stalk in "to stalk".

Ish is only added to certain words, stalk is not one of them and cannot be found in any standard dictionary.

Stabbedish is not a word but that was exactly my point!

What I also think the op should be more concerned about is when the people who give bad advice all in the aid of playing victim, or encouraging others come out to play.

Stalking isn't a crime that takes place over a few moments on a station platform, and the train manager didn't say he'd assult her.

Making serious alegations about someone to the police, which you know are untrue is not a good idea.
