If you're really determined to try to like different vegetables you could try something I saw on TV a few months ago. It was about getting children to eat different veg. and the idea is to have one veg that you currently don't like and have it every day for 10 days running. You don't have to eat a huge amount of it -- just as much as you can manage -- maybe only a teaspoon full on the first day. Supposedly at the end of 10 days you find that particular vegetable OK.

Best of luck with your healthy eating endeavours.

    Hi
Vegetables are ok if covered with something to disguise the taste (although i like salad)
I don't like sauces apart from gravy, pasta (tomato without lumps) sauce, mint sauce.
I can't stand creamy sauces or soft cheese
All the recipes I can find seem to be fancy (or fancy in my eyes lol) and contain all things i don't like i need some 'normal' ideas like jacket potato for example :rotfl:

I wonder if you need to look at this the other way around not what you don't like, but what foods you do like and also what foods you can tolerate? :) Do you like any fruits or dried fruits (enormous range in health food shops)? What protein foods (meat, fish, dairy, nuts, pulses) will you eat as you haven't mentioned any bar beans?

Ah Emzy, you need to meet some new pals, they are called garlic, chilli and worchestire sauce:D some of the rest of the gang are honey, lime, basil and parsley.
These flavours added to almost any of the "good for you" and "great for weight loss" foods can transform what you may feel is a hard done by meal. Ohh the others are wholegrain mustard and shallot.

  • I've seen somewhere on here mention of a mushroom curry recipe. I've tried looking for it and searching, but am having no luck at all. Can someone put me in the right direction.

I've done this as a separate thread so it doesn't waste time for those who don't know the answer.

Why not try cooking veg in a different way? If you tell us what veg you dislike, perhaps we can suggest ways of cooking it that will make it more palatable.

I also suggest trying veg you have never tried before. We have recently discovered pak choi, it is lovely in stir fries!
