Zooplus isn't that great for bird supplies from what I've seen sadly, but thanks!

Can anyone recommend a site that:

-Ships to Europe (ideally not for an arm and a leg), or
-Has cheap/free shipping and low prices?

Specifically looking for bird/parrot supplies. Thanks!

I don't have a bird, but I often (not always) find Seapets are best value.
(I've always received best quality goods and excellent service.)

If they are not best value for your needs now, it's always worth checking again next time.
Sometimes I've had to look elsewhere, hesitated a few days, but checked Seapets again before putting in an order - and found, for example, they've brought back the multi-buy that gives a substantial saving.

I've just looked at their own parrot mixture page, and think the most economical (I hope) 15kg price has gone awol - "Available in full sacks of 15kg and in our own economy polythene bag repacks for smaller pack sizes. Always fresh and clean and offering great value." - is written at the end.
They must do the bigger quantity; so if you want it - tell 'em!

I always enjoy free shipping (scroll down for European charges) - perhaps you could bulk buy with some friends/neighbours/colleagues, who keep pets, to share the costs.
    Also cashback from Quidco.

I use MedicAnimal for a lot of my pet supplies.
    Free delivery on all orders
    - Also £5 referral credit for each friend you refer that places an order

I have also found animeddirect to be cheap too which also offers free delivery on all orders. I have not used this site.

I have ordered from Zooplus recently so still awaiting my order but have heard a lot of good reviews. Zooplus offers Free delivery on orders over £19

I would not recommend pet supermarket unless you are prepared to wait up to 2 weeks for your order, they are very slow at dispatching orders.

I found Petsupermarkets delivery also ridiculously slow. However I normally use Zooplus (but they don't stock Logic Hygiene gel - so I had to use pet supermarket) who are normally quite quite fast (normaly 3 days tops) - but recently they took 7 days to deliver!

    Hi,
I know it's crazy but my cats are fussy and really like Sheba - can't find it anywhere less than the 50p multibuys in the sm's - any better prices that anyone knows of?
    Many thanks!
  • I think BITSFORPETS are totally worth a look. I buy all my rabbit items from them, including a large 5ft hutch you cant buy anywhere else. I find them the best value for money and my deliveries are so quick.

Suprised they are not on the list already. They do other stuff for dogs, reptile etc.. but I just buy for my bunny.

    Newbie here.
We're giving home to a kitty come February, excited!, and have been sourcing for cat supplies online.
One thing that jumped out while price researching was that I could save quite a bit by buying from different stores, e.g. I saw a carrier I liked being priced £10 more on one site than another.

So far, I have been very happy with:
    pet-supermarket.co.uk
VetUK (cheapest I could find for Snugglesafe Heat Pad)
Animed Direct (cheapest for Feliway products)
Zooplus and PetPlanet are good, but for different stuff.

Another pet shop I was looking at but haven't yet tried is britishpetshop.co.uk - they offer good prices on some items...

If any of you out there are looking to buy a cat activity tree (scratching post), there are some good deals on bestbudgetbuys.co.uk, surprisingly. Ours was delivered today, looked like good quality as well :-)

Hope this info will be helpful to someone.

We feed out dog (SBTX) on Wagg Worker complete dry food. She's been happy with it (loves it!) for the last 20 months and is fit and healthy. We were buying it from B&Q or Tescos, where it was under £10 for 17Kg. The last time we looked there was no stock, but I have since found that Amazon will ship it for £10.52 inclusive if you take out a regular order, or £11.69 for a one-off order.

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wagg-Worker-Beef-Dry-Mix/dp/B002E2LPJW/ref=sr_1_1?s=grocery&ie=UTF8&qid=1326474436&sr=1-1

Each bag lasts a little over a month so we just have an alternating bi-monthly regular order set up for each flavour.

Even if you place a regular order you can cancel, reschedule or order extra as and when.

  • I have only heard bad things about pet supermarket, but I guess they would be ok for food supplies etc.. From a bunny owners point of view, I am always looking for sites that cares about rabbit welfare, and arent trying to sell a 3ft hutch to try and make a sale. I got a big hutch and a massive run form Bits for Pets and couldnt be happier, but I always get my rabbit food from the supermarket, is there any point getting food online?
