Whether that's true or not, your conclusions leave much to be desired.

You got to leave it to him/her, he/she has developed fantastically irrational theories about all sorts of things, presented in absolutely fluent gobbledegook.

They've clearly been unhinged by the experience, whatever happened. I don't understand why people feel the need to bait this unfortunate person but then again by continually posting incoherent rants they're inviting it I suppose.

  • A frightening example of how a few brokers are guarding this blog from any possible development by tarnishing the "multi culture British society" with comments that are not only RACIST, but are directly targeting this couple with diminishing and insulting comments, trying to inflict more damage to the physical and mental state of a couple who had their lives destroyed by the greed of a broker and one of them was so devastated that tried in more than one occasion to end its life.
SHAME ON YOU, RUTHLESS INDIVIDUAL JUST MOTIVATED BY GREED AND THE DESIRE TO INFLICT AS MUCH HARM AS POSSIBLE.
THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO BEST REPRESENT THE IMAGE OF BRITAIN ARE MR HYDE AND MR JENKINS WHO HAVE NO RACIAL MOTIVATION BUT DESIRE FOR JUSTICE. IT IS NOT ONLY BARCLAYS STOCKBROKERS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DOWNFALL OF A HARDWORKING COUPLE WHO HAS SEEN THEIR HOPES OF A FUTURE RETIRING WHILE CARRY-ON CARING FOR THEIR RESCUED ANIMALS, VANISHED, JUST LIKE THEIR HEALTH.

This is not a blog, but a forum, containing comments by thousands of users.

Comments are not pre-moderated, so anything that those users post is not representing the views of the proprietor and staff.

If you have any arguments with any particular comment, you may ask the forum team to review it.

I think your assertion that this is under the control of a clique of bankers and stockbrokers would be very difficult indeed to support, and personally I have not the slightest clue why you allege racism.

I stand by what I said before, that if the trading method was as haphazard and incomprehensible as its description here, then it's not hard to understand that that might lead to losses.

That is not a denigration on race-related linguistic grounds, but only that it is very difficult to understand the exact sequences of events or the attempted motives behind them

Trading in derivatives and margins is risky for anyone, can lead to greater losses than the original sum used to invest, as much of the effect comes from highly geared borrowing.

If you borrow £900 and use £100 of your own money to invest in something that costs £1000, and it then halves in value, your position is now £500 asset and £900 debt, so your own original £100 has been converted to minus £400. Or if a different investment instead doubles your £100 is now worth £1100 net of the loan, which may be what tempts people into overdoing things and ignoring the downside.

That risk and financial hazard applies to anyone trying this, irrespective of race.

No-one is forcing Luz or broke4good to participate in the forum. If it is causing added stress maybe they should cut their losses and stop reading/posting.

Mind you, they don't seem good at cutting their losses when on a losing streak...
  • It was the Market Master, a simple share dealing account on execution only that the couple was advised to use when they called Barclays to buy some shares for retirement.
If the ATI margin facility was not included, together with the BARX platform which was given for free if clients put a certain amount of trades, they could have not lost their money. They would have kept the shares they had at a loss and wait for better days. They had never invested before and allowed to overtrade to their death. They bought and sold £16 MILLION worth of shares using borrowed money ONLY, not buying and selling their own stock.
The platform was giving the wrong price and the quote and deal facility was always blocked, not to allow selling shares bought with the borrowed money until the losses accumulated. Every single transaction ended up with selling shares owned as collateral to repay the shortfall. The account was never blocked and allowed to borrow to 800% leverage. IF THEIR ACCOUNT WAS NOT LEVERAGED, THEY WOULD STILL HAVE THEIR MONEY. This is the reason why the account was moved to the high risks investment in January 2014.
