Better late than never.
I have use ups this month.
Sebastian Shampoo 50 ml
Sebastian Conditioner 50 ml. They worked great. But I was by the coast and my hair always looks fuller due to the moisture in the air. WNBA because they are just too expensive.
Wella Conditioner for Coloured Hair. 30 ml. Like it would buy it.
Modern Muse by Estee Lauder, large sample. Loved it, will buy it.
Bottega Veneta sample perfume. Tossed, was horrible, sorry if anyone loves it. Way too sweet on me.
Ojon Condition Oil, sample. Gave up, just don't get oils after conditioning.
Four foil samples. Nothing exciting, can't even remember what they were other than sample body lotions.
Prevens make up remover wipes. 15 count. WNBA. I don't know if they were old but they weren't that good, will use up the last 15 pack as shoe wipes.
Tossed away two gwp jars that expired and were unusable.
I'm working hard at the small stuff, it takes up so much space.
There were only a couple of ins but nothing horrible. Needed an eyeliner pencil and yes, I weakend and got a Givenchy travel set.
Spain was good.0 -
Does anyone know if Boots are still giving out the Money off Fragrance Vouchers at the moment? Emma had one last week and mistakenly threw it out. She now wants to buy some fragrance for a friend's birthday gift so was hoping to pop into Boots spend a fiver and get another voucher.
I have spares of these vouchers that I'm not planning to use if you need 1?0 -
sam.4000 - I use essential oils in the bath a lot, you can mix with a carrier oil (grapeseed, almond etc) and pour it in or just put it in with bubble bath and swirl about. I use cammomile a lot. Juniper and geranium are good together for toning the skin and helping cellulite apparently but be careful as too much is like being nipped by crabs.
I have a uu
Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish - 30ml - WBA and already have minis and full sizes in the stash.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

I had Gone Girl as an audio book rather than a reader, and I really enjoyed it. I like to listen to books or podcasts when I'm working, it relieves the monotony
After that I read the other two Gillian Flynn books I could find for my ereader and I have to say, they disappointed somewhat. Not bad books but not in the same league as GG. I can't see how the ending could be changed and keep its integrity!
I reckon it will be the same kind of scenario as Woman in Black where they tidied the end up really nicely for the American market.VALM - I've never heard of Gone Girl, I will look it up, it's not a romance is it? I hate romantic novels and films come to think of it. I read Winter Ghosts by Kate Mosse recently and am about to read it again, loved it, real life history and fiction - funnily enough this did lean ever so slightly to romance but still a good book.
Nothing like a romance dolly! It's about a wife who goes missing on the couple's wedding anniversary. Story is told by both parties. Him in present day and her in diary form. Is very very good. I think I tried reading Labyrinth by Kate Mosse but didn't finish it.Off topic post for me as I've no UU atm, lol
I hated the ending to this I've just finished reading it at the start of the week and was annoyed by it
Initially I didn't like the ending but the more I think about her character in particular couldn't see it go any other way! That's why it saddens me that the film will have different ending.
I use the Kindle app on my Google Nexus tablet however I read this in paperback form as I picked it up from a charity shop. It depends on which is cheapest as to which format I read. Have no preference. Have just started reading 1984 on my "Kindle" as Emma has decided we should read the 100 books you should read before you die list. This is first. I've read it before and didn't particularly want to re-read it. I like how most classics are free on Kindle. Also I think it's great that you can get refunds on Kindle purchases. Don't know the criteria but what happened with me is that I ordered 1984 late one night and thought I had chosen "Special Edition". Asked Emma the next day if she had started it and she asked how she was supposed to read it in Spanish? As I said Kindle have refunded the purchase.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. That's what did it for me. In the Sainsburys January sale I bought 2 x the big Lipsyl tins so have 6 lip balms from these plus a BB one from another set I bought in their sale. Just can't get through all those to justify placing an order for another free one.Horses for courses I guessI bought myself a Nook so I could read once DH is asleep and I love it, I've discovered Jo Nesbo and I'm really enjoying the Harry Hole books. I haven't read 'properly' for years and it's nice to get lost in a good book again.
And no UU for me either, these splutterers just keep hangin' on in there
I tried reading "The Bat" but gave up on it.Again......something I could have said myself! I've not read properly since my eldest was born, didn't have the time/concentration for it....she's now 8.5!
I got the kindle paperwhite and gone girl is the first book I've read on it. the book itself was good the ending was just really 'meh'. I've downloaded sharp objects but I'm currently reading Shopaholic Abroad.
To be honest I don't feel like I've read a good book for years cos everything contemporary has seemed very samey! Plus I've found myself occupied reading Facebook and Twitter instead!!
I never read the Shopaholic series either. I have enjoyed her non-Shopaholic books though.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. Hey, I am new to the forums and glad to see this thread!
I am always terrible when it comes to toiletries and make up shopping and overspend on things I don't need or already have and have forgotton I bought!!
So at the beginning of January I had a massive clear out of everything I was hoarding and only kept what was needed. Since then I have been gradually restocking on all my essential items so I now feel that its all in control!
I am now only buying what I need each month (and checking I don't already have the same item knocking about at home!) and have already massively reduced my monthly spending.
I have replaced my expensive moisturiser etc with cheaper products (Clinique and Estee Lauder to No.7) although I do still have my more expensive products for more occasional use. I also purchased a cheap perfume from Next to use day to day (ie work) saving my nice perfume for going out etc.
So next pay day I only need to purchase face wipes and powder. I will also then have enough Boots Advantage Points to get a new bottle of Chanel for nothing
I want to switch more of my make up products to good, cheaper products. Most of my make up is Clinique, Estee Lauder, MAC etc. I'd like to have a cheaper make up bag for work and day to day stuff like going shopping etc and saving my nice stuff for going out. So if anyone has any recommendations for good, more reasonably priced products please let me know0 -
I have two little UUs Elemis Soothing apricot Toner (Small GWP size) and freebie Clinique Repairwear serum. There was a time I had considered buying the serum but really have grown to dislike the silicone texture of it.
Parcel arrived with previous misdemeanours, so I have four INS to declare, although previously mentioned: Pureology Shampoo & conditioner which came with a Free Precious Oil and Aveda Botanical Kinetics Exfoliating toner.
I just had a little test of the toner; hated the crappy lid and ended up tipping loads more out than was necessary. Still, it felt like it did the job of taking a good layer of skin off!!Mortgage
Start January 2017: $268,012
Latest balance $266,734
Reduction: $1,278.450 -

Thank you so much. Will PM you my address.
So another UU and 2 INs:-
UU: Lush Snowman bath ballistic. Didn't really do anything. The water in my bath was clear although it felt a little oily. My skin was quite soft afterwards though. Only have a penguin ballistic left now from my portion of the Jan Sale order.
INs:-
Cotton wool pads from ASDA - good value £1.00 for 2 x tubes
OS Raspberry and Vanilla handwash. MrM was so excited that we found it that he opened it straight away and it has replaced the L'occitane Verbena handwash in the kitchen. I've decanted this into the big bottle in the bathroom. I'm not sure about the OS one as it's made my hands feel a little dry this morning after use.
I've decided to keep the empty 300ml sized L'Occitane bottle and decant shower gel/cream into it for use as work for handwash. The Boots Royal Jelly one there is going down rapidly. I know it's fairly gloopy and quite a lot comes out in one pump so don't think it will be long before it's gone.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. UUs to report at last
:
Radox Nourish Bath Soak: WBA, as DH likes Radox products.
Grace Cole Fig and Vanilla Foam Bath: this was part of a gift set from a friend and WNB because DH used it all in only a few baths and he said he had to use loads of it.
Simple Toner: replaced with the same product, always use it.
3 down, plenty more to go :rotfl:Thank you to everyone who posts on here0
