ruby_eskimo wrote: »Hi everyone. February really is turning into the month where I use pretty much everything up! Last night it was:
Nuxe Rose Micellar Water 50ml - Got this in a kit that I took on holiday last year and it's come in handy. Not sure I would buy again but it did a good job of just making sure I'd removed all my makeup after cleansing.
Avene Cleanance K 40ml - This is a HG item for me. Found this tube in the cupboard while I was tidying up last night and I just about got one use out of it.
Lush Rose Jam shower gel 250ml - Loved the scent of this and it lasted me almost 5 months. I swear I do actually use a reasonable amount of shower gel when I wash but my shower puff / lily things always foam things up really well so I find that shower gel does last me a while. Not like the DF who goes through a bottle a week it seems like. I have a 100g bottle in the stash but I like to use things up in the order that they came into my possession so that means I'm on to a 250g bottle of Ponche (again from Lush). At this rate, this could keep me going till July!
Lush Vanilla Dee-Lite 250g - Loved the scent of this and it's a good lotion, but it's way too expensive really. Moved on to TBS Honeymania body butter.
Sure Maximum Protection deodorant - HG, although I may go back to Mitchum once I've used up the last remaining one in my stash.
I think after this flurry of activity there won't be any UU's for a while!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes to use things in order. Only trouble is I'm like it with everything else tooDid owe £9,951.96

Some great dresses on that link, but yours sounds absolutely lovely, I firmly believe that a bride should wear an outfit that SHE loves, not her mother, m-i-l, sister etc.
Good on you for changing the date, not to please mil, but for the sake of your DH, and the fact that people will never be able to throw it back at you, even if it was them that changed holiday dates!):A
I had the most wonderful mil, but I know many are not so lucky. When I asked a lovely colleague of mine why his Ma disliked his wife so much, he said he did not really know, but joked that once Princess Anne was married (first time around) that no one else was ever considered good enough by his Ma:rotfl:The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. sjp - your outfit sounds lovely.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

sjp - I had to ask my OH if he had a secret brother as your FMIL sounds exactly like mine! OH's sister is getting married a couple of months before us and MIL has planned everything for them. She's upset now that she "doesn't get a say" in our wedding but a) we're paying for most things ourselves and b) I'm an only child and even my parents aren't getting involved because they respect that it's up to us (even if it's the only wedding of their only child).
You're dress sounds amazing (I'm looking at tea dresses myself) and as long as you are comfortable then that's all that matters!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
A big load of UU's to report -
TIGI Bed Head Moisture Maniac conditioner - THANK GOD. This stuff must be years old, 750ml bottle. WNBA!!!!!! Sick of it. Smelt yummy although I don't think it did loads for my hair.
Skin Food Fresh Lime Salt Body Wash - Korean Brand, smelt like Cif, WNBA. Was super scrubby though. Packaging was annoying - it had a screw lid that I was always dropping in the shower.
Sanex Dermo Extra Control Anti-Perspirant Deoderant - WBA, pretty bland but I've got a box full from some coupon thing where they ended up 20p each.
Marionnaud Fig Plum shower cream - French brand (a bit like Sephora) WNBA - had a strange afterscent... which I can only liken to spray mount
Bumble & Bumble Thickening Conditioner - WNBA - pricy and didn't do loads for my hair. Wasn't bad just not stand out.
Benefit The Pore Professional sample - WMBA - I prefer That Gal or HG Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer but theres nothing wrong with this either.
Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm - I was So So on this, then I stopped using it and my skin was like WHYYYY and freaked out. So I'm stuck using it, WBA.
John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Condioner - another super old one since I'm a bottle redhead for some years. It was fine, WBA if brunette.
Soap & Glory Girligo - Afraid this got poured down the drain - not heavy enough for my dry skin. WNBA.
Indeed Labs Hydralauron - WBA, HG serum.
Body Shop Organic Cotton Pads - WMBA - prefer Boots Baby Extra Large Cotton Wool Pads, cheaper too I think.0 -
I have some of this, I can't stand it, it's so greasy. Burt's Bees is a product line I really wanted to love but so far have been unimpressed with the stuff I've .
I bought one of their big goody bags once and pretty much hated everything in it. The smell and textures were particularly yuk. I just don't understand what people see in this stuff, especially given the price.0 -
