No buying unnecessary toiletries February 2014

Thank you very much for the advice regarding soda crystals ladies, much appreciated! Seems they can be used for all manner of purposes and they're really cheap too! Happy to say that when I got home tonight it looks as though Mr Muscle has had time to do his stuff and the bath was completely clear :j:j:j whereas I was ankle deep by the time I'd showered this morning. Ran more water and it went straight down no problem but I have learnt my lesson and will definitely be using the crystals reguarly to wash out the drain and I'm also going to get a plug guard as the new stopper is one of those that just swivels up and down so there's nowhere for the hair to get caught on and my hair does seem to come out in droves when I wash it! :eek:Thanks again, I really appreciate the advice and its really helpful. :T
Can happily get back to using up some more of the stash now. I think its karma, when I read my payslip today I'd been paid rather a lot too much, its the universe's way of paying me back for my honestly in letting HR/Payroll know.... Goodness knows how they managed such a big error though!!0 -
Fizzwhizz thanks for the tips about the Natural Collection matte blushers. I am going to resist for now but will bear those in mind when I am allowing myself to buy make up again.
Glad your bath is sorted Emsjune what a nightmare! I always worry about clogging up the drain with all my lotions and potions.
Val that jelly belly stuff sounds terrible! I like their sweets and surprisingly their candles are really good IMO.
1 IN:
45 - Another roll on deodorant due to forgetting my other one!
1 OUT:
15 - La Roche Posay Effaclar Astringent Lotion 200ml - Have already repurchased, like this as it lasts a long time. Not amazing but doesn't break me out either.
Clutterfree I UU the last of the Pixi glow the other day. I really liked it so thanks again. Didn't notice an amazing difference with my skin but it didn't break me out unlike the REN one. Am going to try over a longer period of time to see if it changes the condition of my skin, think I will buy if I can get hold of it when I am next in London.0 -
Hi guys!
I am very late joining this month, I have been rushed off my feet.
Its great because I have had lots of work so I am very happy.
I have some UUs to declare but I need to go and look at my stash list to see what I have used cuz I have forgotten what I have and haven't declared lol.
I will also make a PP for this month.
Look forward to the usual banter :beer:Don't turn a slip up into a give up

Have a couple of UU's to report:
Herbal Essences Bee Strong shampoo and conditioner sachets - It was ok, not brilliant but not awful either. Probably could get on board using it if I needed to.
Givenchy mascara sample - WNBA, got this free at Christmas in a special Birchbox and it was ok but I get better results with a lot cheaper mascaras
I also have a NBI to declare:
TBS Vanilla gift set - This was one of the Christmas gift sets with a soap, shower gel, body butter and body scrub in a tin. Someone gave it to my mum and she can't use things with fragrance so she gave it to me.
And I have my first purchase of the year to declare too!
Wet n Wild Brulee e/s - I use this as a wash all over my eyes everyday and it's the nicest and cheapest I've found. Cost me £2 (including shipping) so I'm happy. Have hit pan in a big way on my current one so it shouldn't be long till I'll be opening this one.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
I could just about open a shower gel shop with all the shower gels I've bought recently. I am struggling to decide which one to use next, as I'm breaking into gift sets now - does anyone else feel you should use all the little loose products before you break into a gift set?0

Hello all! How is everyone? Update from me.....
Batiste Dry Shampoo - Floral & Flirty Blush 200ml - UU
Biore Pore cleansing strips - UU - WNBA, too rough, prefer tea tree ones
Biotherm Blue Therapy Night Serum 10ml - UU - WNB, too heavy on me
Boots 17 Brow's That Brow Kit x 2 - GA - only 25p each so no loss really, they were a bit too light and gave too much of a 'scouse brow' effect!
Botanics Cleansing toner 250ml - UU - WDBA, didn't dry my skin
Elizabeth Arden All Gone Make Up Remover - UU - WNBA, far too oily
Giorgio Armani Si Shower gel 75ml - UU - WBA, Very nice, not cheap and nasty like some you get in gift sets, and very foamy.
L'Oreal Face Powder Golden Ivory x 2 - GA - Too light for me, even in winter
Max Factor Miracle Touch 11.5g - TA - Had gone off, colour was still ok but I could smell it on my face and it smelt a bit stale iykwim. WMBA as the effect is fab but I don't wear non-powder foundation often enough to warrant a repurchase at this stage.
Maybelline Fit Me Foundation Shade 220 - UU - WDBA, new HG
MUA Mattifying Primer 35ml - GA - WNBA, absolutely useless stuff, didn't mattify for any more than about 5 seconds!
Nivea Soft Moisturising Cream 300ml - UU - WBA, have a 200ml one in a gift set
Olay Daily Facials Express (20) - UU
Veet Spray on hair removal cream 150ml - Blue - UU - HG
Yves Rocher Pure Light Foundation 1ml Beige 200 - UU - Coverage was good but smelt really strange and floral.minicooper272 wrote: »:eek:I think I have a Santuary Spa addiction!
Yesterday I went on a day trip, and called into Boots. I spotted a Sanctuary Spa salt scrub bar, and decided to buy it. If you spent £10, you got a free gift set worth £10.50, so as the soap was £5.50, I thought I might as well spend another £5 to get the free gift set. In comes Sanctuary Spa 2 day moisture shower oil. And of course the free gift set (travel size Body Wash, Body Scrub, Body Butter, Hand Cream).
Today, I called into my local Boots store for some ear plugs, and found their valentines offer still going. I couldn't resist 2 weeks in row, and caved; Body Wash, Body Lotion, Body Scrub, Body Butter, Heal Balm, Hand Cream, travel size bath float and bath soak, moisture spray and a salt scrub sachet. All in a very lovely box.
So, after being very proud of having just 2 INs so far this month, I now have 20 :eek::eek:
I really must make a push on my PP list. I will now be on a mission to counter-act my splurge this weekendI am just a victim for anything I think is on a good offer.
It's easily done, I went much more overboard in the sales than I'd meant to!minicooper272 wrote: »I could just about open a shower gel shop with all the shower gels I've bought recently. Not necessarily! I am considering breaking apart the gift sets I have more than one of or ones that are similar i.e. Beauticology and Baylis & Harding are the same company so I'm going to break one of those and one of my sanctuary sets soon.

Morning!
UU:
27. Soap & Glory Glad Hair Day Conditioner 250ml - WMBA, leaves my hair feeling soft but not the best at detangling - but have used two bottles of this back to back so fancy a change. The shampoo is a few days behind, as usual.
minicooper - I'm a bit funny about breaking into gift sets while I still have loose products, but I'm trying to overcome this (making some progress!) as finding that this leads to my stash getting out of control and accumulating some pretty old gift sets still in the carrier bags!MFW 2017 #123 2018: £1,852.64/£39,200 (4.7%)0 -
4 INs to report *sigh*. They were freebies and only sample sizes so not the end of the world:
Salcura Antiac Activ liquid spray 15ml
Salcura Antiac Daily face wash 3ml x 3
I will probably put these in my holiday stash to take away with me in June.Never say never0 -
