I've heard the same, and I have tried but but I've never found the varnishes to be quite the same (application was still a headache) and usually just end up replacing anyway....

Prevention is better than cure .... if you are able to store them upside down this keeps a better seal. And someone on here suggested wiping around the neck after use to stop air getting in too. I now wipe down any that I can't store upside down, does it work... can't say yet... but it's worth a try :D

  • asset that's a shame about your colleagues. It's a really tricky thing deciding how much to give, and I'm sure they had other factors (Christmas, threat of redundancy themselves?) So please try not to take it too personally. I would accept their offer of a drink, but tell them they should be the ones buying you a drink, as you don't have a job yet. They can't argue that a person with no income should prop up their income!

Asset - I hope that you will find a new and rewarding job soon, with nicer colleagues:A Even if money is particularly tight for them, it is not on if they as earners expect you as unemployed to take them out.

I think the "we must get together sometime" or yes we can meet up when I am earning again" would probably be the easiest answer.

I wouldn't have any room for food if I stored my polish collection in the fridge!!! :rotfl:

I like the Boots Extracts range, I have previously bought them in the 75% off sale, but not this year as I had NO INS in January!

Looking for some advice. As many of you on here know I was made redundant just before Christmas. I have not yet found a job and signing on at the job centre.
I received a money gift from my colleagues recently, they asked if I wanted gift vouchers for anywhere in particular but I said I'd prefer the cash as then I can buy what I like (and hopefully find it discounted elsewhere). Anyway I am so disappointed by the paltry amount, in fact when I think how much money I have given to everyone elses collections over the years for weddings, engagements, special birthdays, baby collections etc I am quite upset.
They asked me to come in and take them out for a drink, but TBH I don't want to spend a penny on them. A round will cost more than I was given :( How can I say no nicely?:o
If I found a job it would be easy as I could say I was working but they know I've not found anything yet.

    TIA

Wow, that is mindnumbingly insensitive!!!! On the basis that they know you haven't found any work yet then how on earth do they expect YOU to take THEM out for a drink!!! Gosh I'm sooo :mad::mad::mad: on your behalf. If you feel the need to tell them anything at all, I'd say you can't afford it as money is obviously tight without a job and it will hopefully shame them into realising how shortsighted they're being. I hope something fabulous turns up for you soon and you can work with people with a bit more empathy, I found myself putting extra into a collegue's special birthday collection recently as it was clear some had decided they either weren't contributing at all or put less in, v naughty when they're all on good money x

Hugs asset - as the others have said, very insensitive of your colleagues. I guess you need to consider whether you value their friendship and want to keep in touch or not, and then respond accordingly from the range above. Good luck with the job hunting.

    I have a UU:

    24. Hello Kitty for Liberty Bath Bubbles 75ml - this was gifted and I wouldn't mind using again but WNB as I rarely take baths, so this was repurposed as shower gel.

I managed to complete January's PP list, so here is February's PP list...

    1. Clinique moisture surge
    2. Vaseline night body renewal
    [strike]3. Boots spa firming cream[/strike]
    4. Ted Baker Body scrub
    5. Ted Baker shower gel
    6. Dove body lotion
    7. A'kin hand cream
    8. Avon curly hair serum
    9. Tova Signature Perfume
    [strike]10. No 7 P & P serum[/strike]

    Hello Ladies,

3 UUs and 3 INs :o so break even today...

    UUs
    2 PP items. :T

Boots Spa firming cream - WNBA, this is a relic so doubt they even sell it now! It didn't soak into the skin, just sat on the surface. Not nice.

No 7 P & P serum - WNBA, from my late step mums stash, too siliconey for me.

Prai pure Creme royale sachet - WNBA, was okay and smelt lovely, would use if given to me but wouldn't seek it out.

    INs

Merumaya balm, serum and moisturiser set. Bought from QVC so will have to start using this immediately because of 30 day MBG.

Off to catch up on all your posts.
    Toodles xx

    Hugs Asset.
I agree with Emsjune, just tell them you cannot afford to go out for a drink as you have to watch every penny now.

  • I've finally got round to making a PP list for this month. I'm only putting 6 items on it as I have a lot of full up products so 6 is realistic for me.

    1. Soap and glory hand food
    2. Soap and glory the righteous butter
    3. Soap and glory clean on me
    4. TBS vitamin e moisture lotion
    5. TBS vitamin e cool bb cream
    6. Clean and clear deep action cream wash

Also had a UU this morning - Colgate mouthwash. Did what it said and have replaced with another one from stash. No more mouthwash in stash!!
