Have TalkTalk gotten any better?

Hi,
I used to be with them ages ago when they first started. All was fine, with exception to the time it took to call someone.
I left them when I moved which was, also, ages ago. Since then I've heard they're rather 5h1t.
I'm with EE at the moment who are awful and my contract is up in May. I've looked around and found TalkTalk to offer the best deal for me.
Have they gotten any better?
Thanks.

Brilliant value for money and a not too shabby service either !0

Joined them on 9th January, with very low expectations.
So far so good. I'm getting about 0.5mb faster than with Plusnet and better upstream too.
I noticed that my ADSL with TalkTalk is G.DMT rather than the ADSL2+ I had with Plusnet and o2. This suits me just fine as getting speeds over 4.5mb at my house is just wishful thinking. The line seem much more stable with better SNR margins.
Spoke to customer service once, and whilst offshore, they were quite good, polite and conversational.
Very happy with the value and service so far, but i'm trying to manage my expectations. My farts hospitalize small children0 -
TalkTalk's poor reputation is purely to do with their phone support...stick with their excellent uk based forum support and you'll be fine. I've been with them since Sept 2010 when they LLU'd my exchange (ADSL2+) having previously been with niche isp's such as Zen, AAISP, Goscomb etc who could only offer up to 8 meg. Whereas now i get a solid 18 meg day and night with TalkTalk and all for a measly £5.75pm (+ value line rental). I would happily pay £50 a month for the service i'm receiving0

TT's CS has certainly improved in the last couple of years-but then they were starting from a very low point. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

I had an issue when trying to migrate from AOL to TT which I emailed TT's CEO about. From them I was treated like a King.
I now have fibre which rocks and the CS has been superb.0 -
TalkTalk CS both overseas and UK on the phone is very poor and not helped the fact they lie to you to get you off the phone, not also helped by OR whom are a law onto themselves. Once up and running the service is fine, it just getting it installed initially that seems to be the main issue.
Oh and the two port D-Link router they supply to BB and phone only customers has very poor Wi-Fi range, the four port D-Link router they also supply (to TV customers?) is a lot better for Wi-Fi range.0
