No the payday term refers to when you get paid.

Why choose Slovakia for that ?

I see, I thought it was because there are also self-employed people, nvm I guess. Where there's a will there's a way

I chose it because I didn't get an offer in the UK and I knew someone who was already here and they recommended it, so here I am!
  • I may be missing something, but why can you not go back to those who lent you the money last time?

If everything went so well, surely they must be willing to lend to you again?

How much did you borrow last time, and how much are you looking for this time?

If it's guaranteed, and is such a high return, then sell something to fund it. Computer, bike, car, clothes, blood, anything, or ask your parents or friends to invest after selling their things.

Jeez - whatever you do, just be careful.
Not a lot to go on, I know, but this stinks of scam.
ie, you 'invested' £300 and made £1500 - you now trust whoever you gave that money to. This year he says 'didn't that go well? Now lets up it to 3k' and you hand over the money. 3 months later 'sorry buddy, didn't work out this time'

Maybe it's not like that, but please ask yourself - if it's so easy & watertight (and legal), why isn't everyone doing it?

My mum lent it to me, but my parents aren't in a position to do it again unfortunately

No chance of that in a foreign country sadly. Had I been home I would've flogged anything and everything on amazon/eBay

Oh no! My mum gave me the money and I was re-selling myself on eBay.. eBay isn't for everyone or they don't know how to sell effectively, stigma of scams etc (I've been using it for various things for 5 years)

Do NOT get a payday loan - it'll be a fast-track to ruin. Forget the eBay idea and deal with people in an environment where you can see their faces.

    Good luck with your studies.

And I'm abroad so I can't work here without knowing the language (which is super hard)

So you are studying medicine in Slovakia without being able to speak the local language. That must present a few challenges!

Can you practice medicine back in the UK with a Slovakian medical degree?

    Forgotten about the payday loan

A relative will loan me some of the money, still something. I'll defo still be going through with eBay, it's a gold mine, it really is (a very very testing one, but a gold mine none the less)

Thank you for your kind words!

I've been here for 2 years, we get taught the language. I know enough to get by (shops, directions, greetings, weather etc) but definitely not a novel

I can certainly come back, a few people have graduated and are now doing their foundation programmes in England
