G24 CPC Final Notice

13

Comments

  • How does this look:

As the registered keeper of vehicle *******, I have recently received from you a Final Notice dated 28th January 2014. In this notice you have that you had previously sent me a Contractual Parking Notice on 4th December 2013, this was never received.

According to your Final Notice, my right to appeal this parking charge has expired as I didn’t contest the original parking notice which I couldn’t as I didn’t receive it or it was never sent. I don’t believe that your denial of my right to appeal is legal and I will therefore contest this matter on the following grounds:
    • Failure to send me the original parking notice within the time limit specified by the British Parking Association.
    • Denial of my legal right to appeal.
    • The amount charged is excessive and not a genuine pre-estimate of loss.
    • G24 does not have the right to issue invoices at that location.

If you continue to deny my right to appeal I will take this matter to the BPA and DVLA.

I look forward to hearing from you.

"in this notice you have stated that you had previously"

You're missing the underlined word. I'd also add something like :

  • Thanks Hot Bring. Anything else?

Nope, good to send. Just don't rest your hopes on G24 backing down. They are very very very unlikely to take you to court as they are a pretty badly run outfit who walk a thin line when it comes to legality.

Don't let them worry you though - they're pathetic excuses of human beings.

If they don't take this to court, isn't that pretty much the same as backing down? :) He says hopefully.

G24 don't do court - she says with certainty.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Good to go then :)
  • I have received this reply from G24:

Unfortunately your period of appeal has expired as explained on the back of your Contractual Parking Charge Notice.

You now have a number of options from which to choose:

    1. Pay the Parking Charge Notice. Etc.

    2. If you choose to do nothing, we will seek to recover the monies owed to us via our debt recovery procedures and may proceed with Court action against you.

Seems that they've totally ignored everything in my letter.

    What should I do now?

    Regards,

    Graham.

well, your letter mentioned complaining to the BPA and DVLA , so clearly you do that

I would still ignore anything from debt recovery , but obvioulsy not an LBC or any official court papers

Note the key word ! G24 have never done court and quite frankly are too cowardly to even try :rotfl:

Ignore anything from G24 ( except the very improbable court papers ) and complain to the BPA and DVLA.
