Anyone know whether bulk orders are cheaper during summer than winter due to demand? Just used the last of our old stash.

More bad 'advice' from our resident crackpot, HighRisk, I see.
Coal merchants offer lower prices in the summer, but don't expect massive discounts. There is a hidden extra saving, however, as they tend to put their prices up from the previous year's level when their 'summer prices' end so you get, in effect, a double saving.
I'm currently considering prices per metric tonne via eBay, via which the saving may be greater than my local supplier by quite some margin, even including seasonal discounts.0 -
Local guy starts his Summer prices around May, only about 5% cheaper.0

National coal website seems to be cheaper than ebay, think Im going to go with them.0

I picked the following from eBay and they seem cheaper that National Coal to me (though I suppose it depends what you are buying). I've bookmarked heir site for when I next need to order but of course I'll check again at the time.

Actually this is one time I will agree with Highrisk. We live in the same Provence, and there is no summer/ winter prices, its the same price all year
But then my coal merchant never increased his prices this year either0 -

If you employed your brain and bought direct from wholesale you'd understand there is no decrease. When of course you're buying from a retailer at 11 quid a bag I understand he could drop his price, considering his making 4 quid profit off you. But go on and keep saving your 10ps.0 -
Agree with badger.
Here in the mainland it tends to be about 5% difference between May and end of August.
Since geographically we live a fair distance apart i assume it's fairly standard across the parts that are not NI.
Edit:
Looks like there is somewhere between £30 and £50 a tonne to be saved from that site v's my locals that badger talks about.0 -

Northern Ireland. Not true of the vast majority of the UK, where there are summer price reductions.0
