Stay away from wokefield park - we went last time they had this sale and it's AWFUL
Was going to see if I could book one this time round (at a different venue!) as a sort of pre baby short break, but the page didn't refresh for me automatically, so I had to keep checking back every so often, and I clicked apparently too late meaning I lost my place in the queue and have to start over again, will take that as a sign not to bother.
Seems the system is even worse this time round than last time. Our first baby due 25th May 2014 :T
Maternity leave fund: £3000/£6000 :T0 -

Really? we have stayed there several times and really like it. BUT it may interest you to know that there are two levels of rooms (literally - on different floors) and one we were out in first had a problem in that the door to the garden would not lock, so we were moved upstairs.......... a whole new perspective!! Room was lovely. So each time we stayed after that we asked for an upstairs room and not the ground floor. No problems,

When you get email confirmation, you should get back in touch if they are still charging you the £30. I am going to query the additional bed charge because T&C's state they should be free.
Enjoy your break! Are you going to Cadbury World by any chance?
Yes, cadbury's world
I still haven't had my confirmation through though, have you? The lady on the phone said it may be a while as they have been so busy... Enjoy your break too! 0 -
I went to the site at 9.30 and it added me to the queue. It took 40 minutes to get through and I managed to get a £20 room at our chosen hotel (Wychwood) They only had Sunday's at that price though and Mondays at £39 which I believe is the winter offer they have on at the moment. Looking forward to a cheap night away with hubby. No kids... bliss

Thanks
No email confirmation yet but as you say, they did say it would take a while. I see from other comments that only certain dates are £20. We are staying 9 April (our first choice of dates) so really pleased it turned out to be a cheap one!
It looks a lovely place - it will be a nice surprise for our boys to arrive at a castle!0 -
Managed to get three £20 rooms at Theobolds Park for a Friday night just now. Exact date we need
chuffed trip advisor has quite a few good reviews with the odd negative here and there but for £20, I'm happy!!
