Managed to get three £20 rooms at Theobolds Park for a Friday night just now. Exact date we need :) chuffed trip advisor has quite a few good reviews with the odd negative here and there but for £20, I'm happy!! :)

Stayed here a few months ago with OH - it was great with lovely gardens. And breakfast was first rate - and OH is normally hard to please :)

Many thanks OP, managed to get a nice at a lovely one we've stayed in before, which has a pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi for our wedding anniversary in May.

    What does this mean?

Full prepayment is required at the time of booking. In the instance only single rooms are available, you will be charged for double occupancy.

I need a room for one and there is a £20 room available.

Stay away from wokefield park - we went last time they had this sale and it's AWFUL

Was going to see if I could book one this time round (at a different venue!) as a sort of pre baby short break, but the page didn't refresh for me automatically, so I had to keep checking back every so often, and I clicked apparently too late meaning I lost my place in the queue and have to start over again, will take that as a sign not to bother.

Seems the system is even worse this time round than last time.

Would be interested in why you think it is awful.

Stayed there last year while on the road and we thought it was lovely so much better than the hotel we stayed at next, also a devere but a bit more expensive, The Grand, Brighton. Real waste of money time and effort that was, worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

It is out of the way and surrounded by a golf course and it is sold as a golfing/meeting venue but the rooms are comfortable, quiet and well equipped.
I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.
