Today was never going to be an NSD (1st working day of the month, so most of my D/Debits go out of the bank), so I opted to go and do some shopping that would also stop me classing the day as one as well.
Cue £90 on 2 external drives  I've had one for a few years, but this last week it's been threatening to die on me - and it holds all my photos and back-ups of all my documents that I can't afford to lose (especially as I no longer have any of them on my laptop, as the hard disk in that failed just before Christmas - thankfully giving me enough warning to back up the last few hundred!). So I've bought two - one of which I'll continue to use regularly (I have my music library on it), and one of which I'll do a full backup to on a monthly basis. That way I should be OK if/when one fails! And for as long as my original holds out I'm going to do sporadic backups to that and get my OH to take it to his place so I have "off site" backup in case of theft, fire of floor. (And consider buying another for that purpose when it finally gives up the ghost).
I did get my exercise in for today though. The retail park's 7.5 miles from home, and I walked there and back !!Cheryl0 -

Blimey: as far as NSD's go,I am behind the 8-ball already (shock!!).
Did enough grocery shopping yesterday to be able to send the kids to school with lunch.Today I did a proper grocery shop.So no NSD's for me so far.But tomorrow is looking good.Am only working for a couple of hours tomorrow,so plan to cook soups in the morning, work in afternoon before picking kids up from school. No shops,no after-school activities,no cake stalls,no running out of milk/bread/cheese/bacon/ham/etc.Gonnna be great (enter spinning Martin Lewis emoticon here).SPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76

Had hoped for an NSD today, but it's not to be. Another regular payment's been taken today, so I'm going to nip out and pick up a few bits I didn't get yesterday and was leaving until the next spend day.
Must try and work out what else I might even vaguely need for the next week that stops the day being an NSD (always OK to buy fresh fruit, veg and milk to minimise waste), in the hope nothing else pops up to surprise me.....Cheryl0 -
