Preventing people parking on my property? How?

10ft high barbed wire fence should do the trick.
Or if people were decent, just a small sign saying private property would sufffice.
What about this thing known as a 'door', do you recommend one for a house?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Especially one with a lockWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

C-M, you could put a turnstile at the front of your house and charge all these people who are coming in. Once in, you can sell them cream teas and scones.
But going back the original question - place a physical barrier to prevent access or make a charge for your land been used as a car park. If you don't want the money, then donate it to your favourite charity. Someones selling 50 ticket machines for 6K on eBay.
Oh I've just realised C-M's identity - open house - lots of people trooping through - wording like 'what on earth can one do?' C-M is the queen.0 -

@Ifonly - engaging a PPC IMHO would not resolve the situation as apart from all the other problems, you may be tied into a contract that you have no idea of the implications of.
The sensible solutions/advice has already been given on this thread, including barriers, fencing etc etc
However - if it does not affect your privacy too much then:
have you not thought about actually leasing the space you own as it is obviously is a prime spot and could be a lucrative side line for you.
Car parking near where I live is at a premium at times and several locals already rent out their driveways whilst they are at work.0 -
My household have a rented garage and it has a small drive attached as part of the rental.
People used to park on the drive all the time while we were away at work and parking has always been a nightmare round here.
All it took was a polite note left on a couple of windscreens and it stopped.0 -
Come on, that's far too simple, surely you had, at least, the SAS putting the polite notes on?:rotfl:I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
