Money and Me - A Love/Hate Story

Hugs. Was a bit flat yesterday (back and other pains -done lots of painting and clearing). Feeling better today then something DS3 said has sent me into a tailspin again.
From the other end of the relationship spectrum or maybe in the middle as I am worried about mum and her partner as well. Basically DS2 and DS1 are ill. DS1 has a bug -coughing up blood and emitting body fluids (sorry too much info) but other people have had the same bug and he has lovely gf to wipe his brow etc (but mummy bird still wants to scoop him back into the nest -he's 29).
DS2 has been ill for a week. Stomach pains bad enough to stop him standing up + swelling (baby bump thing he called it). Doctor took samples and started antibiotics, going back tomorrow. But you know how people helpfully suggest - so far we have appendicitis (told him to phone ambulance straight away if pain gets severe and localised), a hernia (weeks off work/ no money) or pancreatitis (thanks mum -mine that is). Was trying to keep things in perspective.
Then DS3 said he thought Gregory was here earlier this afternoon -thought he heard someone say mum. Can't find address book to phone him (currently living out of boxes as DS3's friend has been here mending the attic stairs and I have been in the smallest room). Went back to DS3
said get in touch with DS1 on fb, get him to phone DS2 and report back if ok/ need help. DS1 now mia on fb.
So am going to have 'restful' bath and then hobble/ ruin NSD by goingon bus to check if DS2 is ok. Asked DS3 to go (he has bus pass) -just ordered food.
See you all later. I ain't superstitious - can you get the link up skinty, it's either Ronnie Laine or Ronnie Wood. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSi3vUmqIXs DS3 says no such thing as psychic link. I say I used to have 3 black cats who came when I called them and people still don't believe I.m a witch. Probably fine - just need to check. Let's look at things:
Work is good. Uni is good. These are two big parts of your life. It is good that they are good.
The impromptu night out, well, these things happen. We all do it (some more than others). It's great at the time. It's horrible the next day. The older you get, the longer it takes to recover. It is insignificant in the grand scheme of things. It happened. You can't go back and change it. Learn from it. Get over it. Move on.
Breaststroke. I have been swimming since before I can remember. I am a fairly strong swimmer and I could certainly save myself and others from drowning if need be. However, I don't like putting my face in the water and would only put my face in the water if I was saving a life and had to. I don't even put my face under the water in the shower. I have never liked it. I only ever do the breaststroke. I can do any other crawl or stroke but I don't like doing them. For me, every time is breaststroke time. No shame.
Finance. Did you want to pop up an SOA so we can all have a squint and see if there is anywhere we can make suggestions? I know it is a personal thing so just an idea. Is there scope for you to get some extra hours at work? Can you tutor? (think I might have mentioned that before).
Love, etc. I don't have any current experience in this dep't either. I recently took up crochet...
Family. There isn't much I can really say about this either. Big hugs coming your way. You are going through some tough times familywise at the moment. I can only wish for a rest for you all. Thoughts are especially with your nephew, hoping for good results for him.
To sum up, I like INOD's idea. Skinty Jones. Could make yourself a few bucks out of that toohttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ar816VSF2Fo

Re breast stroke.I was 21 when I learned to swim (mum was 40). I am a big fan of breast stroke (best for all round exercise) mainly because I have to wear my glasses otherwise I could bash my head into the side of the pool before I knew it was there. Don't like getting my face in the water either, probably due to idiots insisting you had to get your face wet that it took me so long to learn - anyway we don't need to be like those men who slosh up and down, drowning everyone within 12 feet with the tidal wave they create. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -

Hi Divas xxxxx
Thank you so much for lovely comments xxxxxxxxxx
Feel so sick. My laptop and purse were upstairs, "they" were only downstairs. Not made a mess thank god - would have finished off my parents if "they" had turned the place over, I think.
Not sure how much detail to give about it all here on the forum - I'll wait a bit til the dust settles. Bottom line, we didn't hear "them" come in which I'm glad about - there wasn't a confrontation so no-one's been physically hurt.
Called house insurance, car insurance, cancelled phones, cards etc.
Siiiiiiiiiiigh. Police were actually good. Waiting on locksmith now.
So come on, there must be some more good news??
Remember my dad had lots on his mind.......he was in court today (!!!! after being burgled!! No one can get their heads around it) over a financial matter that should never have got that far. The judge found in his favour and threw it out, waiving all costs. Can't tell you the relief of that, even if it is a bit bittersweet now.
Keep you posted and thanks again xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx2014 Frugal Living Challenge
