Good evening.
Another spend-free day today so that is now 11 out of 15.
:j
The plan is to get rid of the debt so we can start saving for our wedding. If we finish the debt and put the £400 every month into the wedding fund instead, we could get about £15k by the time the wedding arrives... most of that will be for the honeymoon of course.
I think it will be even more rewarding if we have saved for it all rather than going into debt like normal.

Hey all, spendy day as predicted –DH and I went halves on lunch with mum and dad, and we didn't get to choose the venue, so that was £20 gone for a jacket potato and a steak sandwich! Yikes. Luckily we managed to duck out of the numerous cafe stops they made which involve expensive fancy lattes for my mum and always with the cakes. My dad seemed a bit vague but he said he was tired and unwell and he has just retired and has a virus so it might all be catching up with him rather than anything more sinister. Hopefully… we’ll keep an eye on him though.
Other than that managed not to spend anything else, despite wandering round town for several hours with them, and even talked ourselves into a gym stop on the way home. We are good!
I am making an advanced confession in that I may have to visit a hairdressers in the very near future. It’s been 7 months since I have had anything done, and not only does it badly need a trim, but the multi colour fade and bad rootage is making it look very greasy all the time and is making me look old and drained. It is starting to depress me! I am Pintresting possible colours and styles and want something ultra low maintenance and with long run low cost… so no bright red for me again (sad face), and no sharp cut that needs high upkeep.
Talking today with DH about savings, future DF life plans and such. Making me very motivated and inspired. (But not motivated enough to do the next 10 months with dishwater coloured hair and split ends!)
Enjoy what’s left of the weekend peeps...

Managed to bag a SFD today, both of the boys had birthday parties to go to which was some free entertainment for them plus made the most of the sunshine (had almost forgotten how nice a little sun is) and went for a walk at the local lakes.
Really pleased to have got a few more items listed on a local facebay site and to have actually sold a few bitsone person has already come to collect what she wanted  all of the bits sold only add up to just over £10 but that can be our spending money over half term :T plus it's a few bits we don't nd gone from the house.

Evening all,
Was MIA yesterday due to a lovely weekend away with friends. Overspent on budget (had aimed for £70 for all activities and food but think it worked out to be about £90) - will do sums on spreadsheet tomorrow and update signature. I knew I'd be over budget again this month and still have a week to go. Any tips on cutting down on social spends anyone? I feel like I barely go out but it's all the misc bits that crop up. However, it was lovely to have a break from everyday life and a great start to half term
Sold a couple of bits on eb4y over the weekend so that's a few pennies off the debtTomorrow may be a spend day as I need to post the items but may hold off until Wednesday when I need to spend anyway.
Did tonnes of walking whilst away so definitely did my exercise each day (think we may have covered more than 10 miles yesterday).
Hope you are all ok? Feel like I barely get chance to digest your posts each day at the moment but might get more of a chance this week, although the jobs to do this week list is already over a page longLBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Been a little MIA dodging zombies. However I've managed to dodge them very well. Up to 11 SFD's now, the last two grabbed by hiding out at the OH's!
Spends have been kept fairly low too. Little spend for supplies on Thursday, some goodies for the journey, and parking for my pre-paid salon trip. Friday was a little spendy too. Had to fill up the car on the journey. Although, once I got here and passed another petrol station I saw that I could have got a few more litres because the price was lower. That's service stations for you.
It's lovely hiding out with the OH. We've had a nice chilled weekend and no impending doom of one of us having to go and get on a train. She's had to go to work for an hour but as soon as I pick her up, it's pack up and off to the cottage, real zombie dodging there!
My DFD may have to change. This house buying lark is complicated and I think I am going to need all money I can scrape together to sort out all the costs and such. I will still make the minimum payments and will chuck anything I can at it, but I've still got another 19 or so months interest free so not too worried.
I haven't been posting as frequently as I would like but I have been reading every day, I like to keep up with my fellow zombie slayers.Feb NST #4

Today is grocery shopping day so can't claim a SFd here. Yesterday was though.
Why is it that as soon as you try to stop spending the bills start coming thick and fast? Or is it that you are just more conscious of the bills and there aren't really any more of them?
I paid quite a few debts in full last week and Friday I got a statement for one I had cleared with £36.20 in interest so I have that to pay off now aswell. It seems like one step forward and two back.

morning all,
yest wasnt a sfd as bought cat food and mini eggs. today will hopefully be sfd. off work but just cleaning the house. got to pop to dunelm mill to get something for my step mum as her branch has sold out but she will give me money.
accounts all looking like they should do 2 days before payday
will need to buy my fence panels. need two 6ft ones but i have concrete posts that you lift the panels and slot into. unfortunately neighbour has tree that overhangs the corner so i cant get a 6ft one in. will need to buy 2 3ft ones to go on top of each other. as the other panel is next to that, will need 2 3ft panels for that as well or will look strange! annoying as 6ft panel only about £3 more than 3ft one so looking at £68 instead of £40  dad is coming on sun so will fit then and if i cant get panels before we will get in his car. going to try builders merchant to see if can get cheaper with free/cheap delivery. would like to get before he comes so i can paint them before they go up as two will be behind shed and i cant really get in gap (but will be able to see fence from chairs and it will look stupid if its still orange).:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -

Today is NSD #9 as it's the day before payday and I have no money to spend as I put it all in to my savings account this morningI've managed to increase my savings this month by £185 despite having bought new glasses for Mr Mooo and paid for my travel money for my holiday (18 days to go!)
I banked my savings from my £2 coin jar this weekend and have £240 sitting waiting for the Edinburgh Fringe in August. I love the festival and hate not feeling like I have the funds to really enjoy it, so this way I know I can see LOTS of shows and have funds for meals and drinks as well. Every £2 coin I see between now and August is also going to get added to this fund
Today is my day of decluttering, so I am hopeful I'm going to hit my target for 56 items by the end of the day. I'm aiming big!!0 -

I assumed that if it hangs in your garden but is his tree you can cut it or at least ask him to trim it, no?DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -

hi, yes i do normally lop some branches off each year and will need to trim to get the 3ft panels in. the tree is the corner where one of the fence posts is so would need to saw the whole thing down to be able to fit the 6ft one. its rented accom and tbh the landlord should just get rid as its in the corner where the 4 gardens meet behind their shed so they cant even trim it from their garden!:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0
