It felt so good last night not having to hand over a fiver (barring 5p) over at Slimming World. I'd gone 1 lb over my target though so will have to watch what I'm doing and don't stuff my face too much as I've decided I'm never going to pay anyone to tell me I've put weight on. As long as I stay 3lb either side I don't need to pay.

My £5 has been squirrelled away with my birthday vouchers and I will have a lovely day at The Trafford Centre buying some new clothes ready for the better weather - I don't think I can manage walking around yet so maybe in a couple of weeks.....

I've had a couple of busy days visiting folk and trying to do a bit of walking - I'm due back at work after half term and need to build my strength up. I was so tired last night so went to bed with a book at 8.30 I didn't get past the first page. DH brought me a cuppa and I was flat out and I slept until 8 this morning - I must have needed it.

I'm meeting a friend from work this evening and going for a cheap and cheerful meal - probably Wetherspoons. I'm looking forward to catching up on the gossip ;)

DH has a week off next week and we are hoping to have some nice days out - we'll see what NT properties are open and take it from there.

    Have a good weekend

Don't know what's got into me this week - all my ideas of using everything in my cupboards has gone way out of the window......

DH has a week off work and we'd played with the idea of a few days away but decided the weather was rubbish and it would cost too much anyway. I think I was a bit disappointed and I've been really down in the dumps - we've had a few trips out but to places we go to a lot. We bought a tram ticket where we can travel all day so visited a few local places - even had a cheap lunch out at a pub which was lovely but I felt really flat. We visited a local market which is famous for it's meat and fish hall - its good quality stuff and the stalls out bata each other with a bit of showmanship to get us to buy!! - so I bought about £40 meat and a whole fresh salmon for £8. It is all portioned and frozen now and should see me through a good few weeks - but I could kick myself as I wanted to use what I had in.

I've eaten for England too and if I don't kick myself up the behind will be back to where I was weight wise.

Think I'm nearly ready to go back to work as little things that don't usually bother me are really grating.

DH is back at work on Monday and it's half term next week. I'm meeting some friends on different days which will be nice then I'm back at work the following Wednesday...looking forward to it but am a bit scared too...

Understandable that you are a wee bit apprehensive about going back to work.
    I feel very flat too.
Have you tried the new rhubarb & custard hifi's? They are quite nice for a wee change:)
    Take care.

I'm sitting waiting for dd her hubbby and my granddaughter to arrive from London for a few days. They are stuck in traffic. I won't get any cuddles until morning as they'll have her ready for bed and just pop her into travel cot upstairs - she usually sleeps through - can't believe she is 15 months. now.

DH is still at work since 9 this morning - I know he is lucky to have a job but I sometimes feel the small company he works for takes the mick wanting jobs finished - they do eventually get the time off in lieu but this is the 3rd evening this week he has been home after 9 when he should finish at 6..........rant over - he is a grown man and can say no - but he won't because he worries that at 60 he wont get anything else.

I got new hearing aids yesterday - I hadn't realized just how bad my hearing had gone -I've had a clock over 2 years and didn't know it had a tick- its driving me mad now I can hear it lol - they are sooo much smaller than my old ones - you can hardly tell they are there.

I had a day out trying to spend my birthday vouchers now I've reached my target weight - I didn't see anything I liked - think I'm in a rut and wanted something different but nothing felt right - so I bought lots of new underwear lol and saved the vouchers with a long date for another trip. Made it a lovely mse day with free coffee and cake at John Lewis too ;)

LOL I'd forgotten the things a 15 month baby can get into............I've spent today putting everything back in its proper place and cleaning tiny fingerprints. I had the time of my life though - she is just beginning to say a few words and has taken a few steps but not got the confidence to walk properly yet.

I've spent a fortune this weekend - I treated us all to a meal as they have all been really good looking after me whilst I've been off work. But I will make an overpayment next payday to my loan - overall I have not spent as much as I usually do when I'm at work!!!!

I'm going into work tomorrow for a meeting so I know whats going on when I go back on Wednesday........can't believe how quickly it has come around. No more lazy days watching catch up tv and knitting for me then...............

After a few spendy days I reigned myself in today.....LSD with a £3 spend in Aldi on milk and veg.

I went back to work yesterday and so far so good :) Lots of things have changed but I'm getting back into the swing of things and everyone has been lovely.

I didn't sleep much last night - not sure if it was because I'd been mulling everything about work over OR........ because we'd had a letter from Barclays
which very nearly went in the bin :p
DH opened it late evening as it had been put on 1 side with other 'junk mail' - we thought it was a 'do you want a loan' letter

BUT IT WASN'T - it was a letter.........the decision refusing your ppi claim in 2013 has been over-ruled and you have now been awarded it with interest :T:T:T:T It was completely out of the blue as we just accepted the 'no' decision and thought it'd been worth a try but didnt really expect anything............and although its not reached our account yet I'm hopeful :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

I'm quite impressed at myself - halo duly polished. I've had the ppi in the bank for over a week now and only treated myself to 1 thing. A fitbit pedometer to make walking back to full strength a bit more interesting - I'd looked at them lots of times but couldn't warrant the money BUT since we'd had the unexpected windfall decided to take the plunge. I have used it all the time and it is making me exercise. Not so long ago I'd have had it spent most of the cash already. I have been using the money mantra - do I need it, will I use it......... how my mindset has changed :)

I've changed my bank account to the one that gives £125 for switching and then a fiver a month. Switch over day is Tuesday so fingers crossed it all goes smoothly........

Ive decided not to use the ppi to pay my loan - with overpayments each month I should have it paid this year. So I'm continuing with my original plan and can 'do something special' with the ppi.
