How much do I need to pay as an apprentice?

- I'm starting apprenticeship in 2 days.
- Currently, my dad works part time and gets £126/week (£6,552/year) and we don't pay anything. No-one else in the family works.
- My apprenticeship will pay me £125/week (£6,500/year),
- That makes the total household income £251/week (£13,052/year)
Question: Will we have to pay anything with that income and how much?
Please state ANYTHING we have to pay and anything that gets reduced, like tax credits, benefits, rent, etc.
How much will I have left at the end?
Also, will I be excluded from free NHS treatment and vice versa.
Please help; I want to decide if I actually want to start the apprentice; whether it'll be worth my time.
Thanks a lot! I'll be so grateful for an informative reply.

You could try 'Turn2us' website and use their calculator, or ask at the CAB for a benefits check.
LinYou can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.0 -

I didn't really understand the bite part, what's it mean0 -

Those calculators are really complicated and I don't know a lot of the information they ask. I just want to know if going above the annual pay of our family that I stated would reduce any of our costs or if we wouldn't be entitled to free health care.0 -
The insinuation is that you are a troll or wind-up merchant.
What's the alternative to not starting the apprenticeship? being a full-time dole-ite?
Have a bit of self-respect, even if you are slightly worse off you should think about your future. Do you really want to spend your entire life reliant upon the state?Thinking critically since 1996....0 -

I'm 17 and I'll be working 40 hours.
EDIT: Well, working and training adds up to 40 hours.0 -

Okay, I believe I have a better understanding of my life than to spend it trolling on these forums.0 -

Exactly this
Or you will be on Benefits Street on the telly in a few years time.
There are thousands of school leavers who would give 10 years of their lives for the chance of an apprenticeship.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Thanks, but you see, I'm not sure what these terms mean (what I'm entitled to and what not). I was asking how much would go from my money.0

Health care is free in the UK!!!!!!
If you find the calculators really complicated why don't you sit down with your family and go through them, you ask alot of questions but your household members are the people best placed to talk too.0
