Sorry to hear that, but think that the time has come. He isn't eating even the tastiest morsels... please let him go.

I would also say don't just say goodbye and leave him with the vet, it is really easy just to sit there and hold him whilst the vet gives the injection.. that way you know you have done your very best. I used to scurry from the surgery but have learned that I can sit there/ stand there even if I am crying....

Oh dear, tears dripping now as I type.

    Take care and hugs

Dear meames and your very dear boy, we must be nearing the time you'll be going to visit your Vet again.

I'm about to go out myself and will be thinking of you both, all the way.

With soft hugs and much love. You have so many people caring with you here.

This is the sort of time I bless Martin all over again for this site.

Hi everyone. Just to let you know Womble had to be put to sleep.

He hadn't eaten sinceSunday, and was unable to stand for more than a few seconds. I was with him at the end and he put his head I my hands. I miss him so much.

Oh, that fine and trusting face, meames; full of look and chat with his family-friend behind the camera.

I am so sorry. As people have said, even fore-knowledge does not help you right now and you were brave too. You knew each other to his end and your hand was the last touch he knew.

Sleep will help if and when it comes tonight.

Bless you both Womble[perfect name] and meames.

I'm so sorry. He looks wonderful. However sad it makes you feel, you know in your heart that you did the kindest thing for him. Hugs.

    From Womble

    No More Tears

The time has come for the tears to end
for you to be happy and cheerful again.
I am safe in God's home above
cradled in His arms; covered with His love.

We run and play by the Bridge all day
waiting for the day when you'll be here to stay.
You've been crying so much I feel bad
I want you to be happy and not so sad.

Remember the time when I was so small
I couldn't even pick up the rubber ball.
I fought that ball from morning to night
it made you laugh, I was quite a sight.

Remember teaching me sit and stay
we had such fun since I didn't really obey.
but you kept at it with test after test
so when I entered my first show I was the best.

Remember the great times we had in the past
like when we walked to the park we had a blast.
We'd run and play all through the park
until the sun went down and it got dark.

Remember the times we went for a ride
I was so excited I'd jump right inside.
Away we went to who knows where
but you and I we didn't really care.

I'll always love you, you're my best friend
I'll be right with you even to the end.
Always remember the great times we had
and there will be no reason to ever be sad.

So sorry to read about your dog. I never know what to say in these situations, words seem so inadequate. It always makes my heart ache though, when somebody loses a much loved companion.
    Thinking of you.
