  • :hello:.... right then here I am...

I am going for 17 ltw days this month. Really looking forward to it again.

We bought up the idea of going for a team lunch in Feb last week and then had to listen to one of my colleagues moaning and whining about how broke they are only 5 days after we got paid:eek: tales of losing the house because they can't pay the mortgage.. etc etc, can't possibly spare £5 for lunch out. This sorry tale unraveled as the daily lunch purchase was being consumed. Yesterday's was a large jacket potato and chilli £4.95 from the shop around the corner, a cake 80p and crisps 60p accompanied by a £1 bottle of cola.

Another team member pointed out in a kind way that bringing lunch in everyday could save a lot of money and it was meet with "I dont spend a lot and I have to eat". Them when we talked about lunch again it was "Its alright for you lot you can all afford it.." We all just rolled our eyes.. yes the reason we can afford it and a couple of (cheapish) coffees in the week is because we don't spend £5 plus on lunch daily:wall::wall:

People don't know what they are missing!
