Very excited and determined for February, I do solemnly declare there will be NO UNNECESSARY SPENDING, particularly on LTW... No staff food, if I've forgotten my lunch, tough! I'll have free soup.

Hi all, thanks again for starting and managing a new thread WTBSE
There are 20 working days for me in Feb, and I have 1 day off to take DS1 to hospital for a routine op.
We tend to find these really stressful as DS1 has started kicking off about having them (hence I've started taking holiday to go along again) so I'm actually going to include that day in my target as we always 'treat' ourselves to a rubbish breakfast and lunch from the canteen downstairs. By including this day we'll hopefully be forced to take food in and eat it. Mr Shortie doesn't usually co-operate on those days (he'll not eat the food I take in as he's "not hungry", then wander off for a coffee and come back armed with crisps and chocolate ) so I need to try and think smart or just exclude him from my target, lol....
The ward doesn't have a parent's kettle or microwave which is a pain as I'll definately want a cuppa or two at some point, and prefer warmed food to cold sarnies.
Maybe a cheese or corned beed sarni and crisps for us both for lunch? Not sure about breakfast, will need to think on that one.... Actually..... if we can pack light enough for the day, I'll dig out our thermos flasks too for the hot water!
Anyway, waffle over, sorry - that was helpful to sit and think that one out - thanks guys :AApril 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500 -
