Waiting for the official quote but ballpark figure is £350-400 to repair the damage.
Spoke to my insurance and this would go down as a fault claim and they're not prepared to even try and recover the costs from her house insurance.
Not happy.
Now you have reported this it will have been added to your history of claims & losses, and will have to be disclosed to any insurer you go to for quotes over the next 3/5 years depending on how long a history you are asked to give.
So do some dummy quotes to see if this is going to affect your premium, and do the sums to see whether now claiming will be worthwhile (esp. if you have protected NCD)0 -

However is he dealer/manufacturer approved?
My car goes to a specialist rather than the main dealer for most things, as it's staffed by ex-Ford/Jaguar mechanics and is cheaper, plus is approved should anything go wrong.
I scraped the underside of my car (knocking the bumper off) last year, and that was repaired by them.

Not a perfect situation but it does not appear to be any ones fault.

They use 100% same paint code, no difference also they dont tend to replace panels as most pop out or fillDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0 -

easy way.
not approved body shop no anti corrosion warranty. yes they can tell if theres filler in a panel and its been painted the trained eye can tell not the 100% match in paint code.
approved yes theres filler in the panel but it done by their approved body shop and a paper trail to prove it, so warranty must be honoured.0 -

Although you never want to fall out with your neighbours if their insurance aren't going to pay, there's always taking them to the small claims court.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

If you take the neighbour to court (after even your own insurer has indicated they are not liable), expect the case to be thrown out!
(It would be defended by the neighbours insurer, (not the neighbour), and the fees have to be paid by the loser - all court fees would have to be paid - and on top of this the loser would end up paying the other sides expenses for attending the hearing.)0 -
what about asking them to pay 50% - if the bill comes to £400 ish this could be manageable by both of you, avoid ill-feeling and protect your insurance0

any body shop normaly gives a 3 year warranty also anyway0
