Thinking of you Cyclingyorkie and keeping everything crossed x

Happy Birthday (or Belated Happy Birthday) to those posters who have had birthdays/whose loved ones have - my memory is shocking at the moment :o

Hi to lurkers who've taken the plunge!

My back's gone again so DH took to to L*dl as I didn't want to be picking up heavy shopping bags. Trying not to sit too long - done some paid stuff so will now load WM, do beds and generally potter. See it's raining again; not taking Pip out for a walk in this :(

    Afternoon all.

CY - thinking of you *hugs*

Was up and out to work by 8.45 this morning. I've also done the weekly shop, which came to a grand total of £13 :D I dread to think how much the delivery I'm planning to get in half term is going to cost me though! While I was at Mr A's I booked an opticians appointment for tomorrow. Every time I've made it further in advance I've had to cancel due to ill health so I'm hoping this time I'll make it. I found my paperwork from last time the other week and I haven't had my eyes tested since 2008 so a test is just a bit over due :o

My house is tidy and we're having sweet & sour 'whatever-meat-DD-is-in-the-mood-to-eat-so-she'll-eat-the-meal' with rice for tea. The only job that needs doing today is the downstairs floors (thanks to S&Sing all week) but its not worth it as I know DD is going to come home soaked and muddy and mess it all up again! So I'm taking this afternoon off to watch a film and/or some programs :p

Later I need to do the laundry (only 1 load of darks until DD changes her bedding on Sunday), ironing (tiny pile), and deep clean DD's school shoes. Last year I cleaned them every week to an almost military shine, this year I told DD it was her responsibility and her school shoes are a disgrace. :( Time for intervention by me to try and rescue them.

Off to make a hot cuppa, then decide what I'm going to watch :p
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

    :coffee: break!

    Wow I'm shattered! But I've done lots and DD started helping ;) we've;

Been through the craft drawer - sorted colouring books that were full for recycling, bagged up "baby" crayons to go to nursery, and generally edited and tidied as we went.
Edited DS "vehicle" bucket. Any flimsy tat is gone along with anything babyish or unloved. Mostly in CS bag but also have a bag full of possible sellers.
Combined wooden railway stuff into 1 bucket - he had a flexitub upstairs but there's no room to build it with the model railway, so the tub is now downstairs with the other box tipped in. Freeing up a sizeable box for his hotwheels stuff :T if the wooden stuff isn't played with by summer I'll try sell that too.
Sifted, tidied and edited DD baby doll box. Found lots of tat at the bottom <fling> with the result that the lid now fits and she can see what baby clothes she has.
Found a small wicker basket from the unit upstairs that I've been looking for ;)1
    Rearranged conservatory a little.

    Still do do:
Sift through the book basket and the DVD box.
Fasten DS new bell to his bike.

Persistent rain here. Hope it settles before school run. May have to put DD in the buggy...

Hope today was ok, CY x

Happy Birthday Mr Ionafan; that's a lovely story about your getting together; I first met Mr LW at a Dungeons & Dragons group I found through Mensa - the first thing the toerag ever did was fireball me!!:rotfl: We pootled along, just seeing each other at D&D each week but never doing anything about it, iyswim, from January 2002 to May 2002, then on May 4th the Dungeon Master hosted a wine tasting at his house, which is where we really sort of "clicked" - and I moved in with him on May 27th 2002. The rest, as they say, is history.:rotfl:

Yorkshire Lass I hope you're ok today; being sick at work is the absolute worst, isn't it?

CY posi-vibes and all hopes for a good outcome for what you're going through today.

That doesn't sound like resting and taking it easy to me LW. You've done more than I have...
Ah, but I can't rest properly if I know there are dust bunnies sitting there thumbing their noses at me. And I can't expect Mr LW to do all the cleaning when he works full time and is out of the house for almost 12 hours every weekday; it's bad enough the amount I have to get him to do, I must try and do at least some.:o

Thanks again for your advice. I do feel more positive and have looked at the Cruse website, I can email them, which I'd prefer to do to talk it through with them. I'm not ready to verbalise my fears/feelings just yet but if/when I'm ready I can talk to them on the telephone.
A while back, when I was inches away from taking my own life, I corresponded with Samaritans via email; it worked well for me, and had the added advantage that I could review what I'd said and tidy it up to make a bit more sense before hitting "send". Email does work, if it's easier than the phone for you. Good luck. x

The first time I looked at this it terrified me, but I keep peeking at it from behind the sofa.

Last week I spent a couple of hours sorting out the smallest bedroom - ended up with eight loads of bedding and curtains to wash (then wondered why my arms felt like they had been pulled out of their sockets).

On Monday I spent 5 hours doing DS3's room (he went into university - 3 weeks Christmas holidays, 2weeks exams/he didn't have any, one week free and now the tutors are on strike). If he doesn't have to go in, he reverts to being nocturnal, he only comes out of his room to eat or go in the bath - and he still takes his laptop into the bathroom. So although I hurt all over, I kept going because I don't know when I will get in there again.

So I would like to join you, please, as long as I can sit down now and again. A year ago I would have been out of breath after 15 minutes mopping, so I have to keep focusing on the positive and how far I have come and not on the things that I am still struggling to do..
Come out from behind the sofa; we don't bite (well, I do, but they got me a muzzle):rotfl: You get to sit down as and when you want/need to. I spend a lot of time sitting down - and as you'll see from Greenbee's comment, I actually get gently admonished if I do too much!:o
Remember, the lists are suggestions not Royal commands; you can adapt them to suit your own household, or you can work totally off-list and just post for the friendship and encouragement, if that works better for you.:o

Poor Mr LW was late home last night; there was an accident just outside Letchworth, so he didn't do the high shelf he was going to - he's said he'll do it tonight. So I'm going for the big bookcase, then the lounge will be more or less done, apart from getting Mr LW to move the sofa and big chair at the weekend for me to hoover up dog hair (it gets in everywhere, as all dog owners will know).
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Just popping in to say hello. I have finally caught up with Fred. I'm shattered, as I've been so busy at work and have done 6 extra nights this month. I've only done the basics really :o.
DD wiped the sides in the kitchen this morning and they can both strip their beds for washing tonight.
I'm back in tonight for 6 nights and then have 2 weeks off, yay!

I'm sorry life is being so unkind to so many of you but it is heart warming to see so much support being offered by flyladies.
LW, I'm wondering if the weather could be affecting your wrists?
GTG, see you on the other side of the nights, or sooner if I manage to pop in. I have a short sleep Sunday as there's an awards ceremony for Scouting and DS will be awarded his Silver chief scout award. I've been nominated for an award as a helper too :o.

    Pouring with rain here too.

My sister has just popped in, another item of clothing off loaded onto her.

Going to do a HHC now even though I'm not really in the mood.

    Master bed changed & laundered
    More towels washed
    Bedroom windows cleaned

A BD was thinking about hanging around until I heard a bang. I looked out of the window to see a police raid happening across the road. Took my mind off things.

Need to get organised as DS2 has his asthma check later. Sky has been very dark today and looks almost like dusk already.

    love to all x
