Pool is in Hathersage Dawn
see here
Tis ace! Check timings though cos they have a lot of slots for season ticket holders only in the summer. You can get to the cafe from the pool side and have an ice cream or chips
Today appears to have been another NSD!! :j :j :j That's number 4 and we're only on the 7th of the month! :j :j Getting into the swing of this
It's certainly reducing my mindless spending - not bought a magazine or anything similar for ages, nor random charity shop clothes etc, nor (many) chocolate bars. I've been making all my lunch, making flapjack rather than buying cereal bars etc for weeks now :j
Of course, I still seem to have actually spent a fair bit this month already :rotfl: But as long as I don't go replacing underwear every month I'll be alright
Been thinking today - I signed up for this course, and it's £755 over 2 years (well, you can pay over longer but I opted to pay £30 a month for 2 years, can change later if necessary). I'll also be spending on things like books, conferences etc so there'll be another few hundred quid probably over the next couple of years.
I'm thinking it'd be nice if this didn't come out of ordinary spending money or existing savings... I was thinking I could use my £2 coin money for it :j I keep saving them for something just for *me* and have used in the past for a GPS watch for running, but the last lot I just took with us as general holiday spends...
Nearly back up to £150 now though :j :j So I reckon £2 coins, plus perhaps getting round to selling a few things, and I might be able to break even... :j
Sound like a plan?? I've already got a spreadsheet for outgoings - just need to create an income bit and make sure they keep up with each other :rotfl:0 -
Ooh that looks fab, think a day trip in the hols us in order :-)Sealed pot challenge 822
Jan - £176.66 :j0 -
Just a little bit of spending for me today, at the community farm
£1.40 half a dozen eggs
£1 two fairy cakes
Well worth it for each of them
Won't be a NSD tomorrow - I'd like to say last ever payin day at Slimming World but the amount of cake I've eaten this week I'll never have lost that half lb:rotfl: :rotfl:

No chance - I needed to lose half a lb, but I actually PUT ON 2
:rotfl:
So now I ned to lose 2.5lbs... Idiot
Still, I did win the raffle, which was lots of lovely fruit, so that's goodAnd then I went to the shop and bought more fruit and also nuts etc so that'll hopefully keep me going in healthy snacks for a week or so at least.
Spent quite a bit though
£16 in fruit shop (although that did include £5 on a giant tub of peanut butter, and a load of almonds and walnuts, so not too bad)
£4 on salt, sugar (we'd run out of both  ), bread etc.
Aiming for another NSD tomorrow - in the office so should just be work travel. Although... Mr Cheery has a gig tomorrow night, and I'll need to get there straight off the train, so if it's !!!!ing down, or if I'm exhausted, that'll be a taxi job... and I might need a cup of tea when I get there, and I won't have eaten anything - gah!
Might have to do a spot of planning for that tonight - may well be easier to come home, eat, dump stuff, then get a taxi from here!0 -
Hope you manage to sort things out Cheery - certainly heading off anywhere when you'll not have eaten is a recipe for unplanned spends, isn't it...I know that feeling well!
As for the 2lb gain, that 2lb will come off as fast as it went on as you're cracking down on it quickly I bet, and who knows, it might even take the extra half with it...!
*edit* GIANT tub of peanut butter sounds ace...but a bit dangerous!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

bloody phone keeps moving my cursor so excuse my nonsense!
EXHAUSTED today!0 -
ah, didn't turn out as bad as it looked on my screen...
stayed up nattering til 2am then alarm went off at 6 so today has been fairly unbearable! Cut it fine to catch the bus then got trainee bus driver who wasn't sure how to use machine or which direction to go in...
... so i arrived at the station in time to wqtch my train pulling away without me
had to get another one with a change in the middle then pay £7.40 for a taxi to work  serves me right really
then had an emergency slump mid afternoon so popped out and spent £1.30 on an ice cream
got a giant bag full of confidential stuff so going to go home from station, see if i can have a quick shower and something wholesome to eat in 20 mins then resort to another taxi to get to the gig...
at least i won't have to pay to get in!!
next time must go to bed earlier...:rotfl:

Hello Cheery! I have been stalking you a while so feel I should introduce myself:
Doobop, a tea lover, who manages to amaze the in laws with tea drinking capacity, and having bought a house with a garden a few months back, is loving growing things, it's so exciting when the little seeds you've sown, pop up and say hello, ps. 30, not middle aged.
I have been reading your old diaries, they really are so very cheery! Not in order though, so when you were frustrated with PhD I wanted to post and say 'don't worry - I've read the next diary - you will pass!' which confused me no end, making me feel like a time traveller.
Intro over.
Doobop0
