Thanks ladies :j Love how you're all being so enthusiastic about my boots :rotfl: Mr Cheery would laugh - he often says I'm on an everlasting quest for the perfect pair of boots
:rotfl:
Not heard of this lot before - on their own page they're going for the 'local to Lancashire' branding but I found something else that said they're manufactured elsewhere now, and I did find a forum post that said 'are they ever on sale full price??' :rotfl: So who knows whether they're any good. I did like the double zip thingI don't usually have a problem with boots doing up but my current ones aren't adjustable at all and having worn them with jeans they've gone too saggy to wear with tights!
Hopefully they'll be here soon and I shall report back :j :j
Just been out for a 6 mile run  Quite meditative in the dusk actually, and very autumnal seeing the sunset through the woods :j Quite cold and stiff now though and a friend is coming round for tea in 45 mins and currently (a) Mr Cheery is in bed, (b) we have no food and (c) I smell:rotfl:
Best get my act together! :rotfl:0 -

Good grief, have I really not been in here for 10 days?!
Well, here I am, avoiding sorting out banking and YNAB after over a week of ignoring itPurse is STUFFED full of receipts and something really does need doing Right Now before there's a zip-related incident
We escaped to the seaside for a few days :j :j Most jolly, but most definitely NOT MSE  £280 for accommodation, which isn't toooooo bad (we could have had the whole week for the same price as 4 nights but sadly I had to go to work). We ate out most nights and spent a lot of time out of the house, which in this chilly weather involved an awful lot of cafe stops... We also went to the pictures, and indulged our holiday charity shop book buying habit:rotfl:
Might just log the lot in one lump sum under 'holiday' and be done with it rather than trying to remember exactly what we spent in every cafe...
Had a lovely time though :j Lots of sunshine, and we even ate outside several times, not bad for mid November! Got in LOADS of walking and a bit of cycling too :j
Back to 'normality' now though, whatever that means... Put in £120 worth of expenses claims in last week so hopefully that will turn up soon.
Ooh, and just heard something about the supermoon on the radio - someone said something about apergee, philigee...?? Weren't they words in one of the spells in Bedknobs and Broomsticks?? I thought they were nonsense words but clearly not!
Looks like I'm not the only one
Turning a man into a rabbit spell
:rotfl: :rotfl: That pleases me greatly for some reason
Tasty tea tonight :j Last of the sweet potato wedges, and a stir fry of mushrooms, green beans, green lentils and goats cheese :j All food we took on holiday, and then ended up going out for tea every nightMr Cheery's share is waiting for him to come home, but right now I'm tempted to scoff it before he gets here and deny all knowledge...
Right - off to face the banking dragons...0 -
oooo - you reminded me - I have over 950 to claim back from work!
Yikes - I need to get a move on (at the very least I spent it from my floater as the credit cards are now clear)!
Glad to hear you had a cheery holiday - well deserved after so many months of plastering & housey stuff! - I vote for the lump sum for YNAB! (we are voting right?) - get it over & done with - then if you find any stray receipt and have the urge you can separate that bit out and stick it in another category!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! I'm with RT on this one, Cheery
and yes, we're voting :rotfl: (I nearly wrote "boating". Boating is good too, yes?)
Eating outside at this time of year sounds magnificent - and I think a holiday at this kind of time, rather than "ooh, lets get the Christmas shopping done early" is excellent :j:j:j2023: the year I get to buy a car0
