Well that is indeed a very good question both of you :rotfl:

I actually have two targets :o One because it means I will have lost dead on 2 stone, and the other (3lbs higher, which I'm aiming for) because it's a nice roundish number :o :rotfl:

So neither are for a very good reason at all!! :rotfl:

Will think on. If I can get back to what I was last week I could just declare that my target, and then I can keep going to meetings for FREE :j :j :money: I can also still lose another 3lbs and still go for free - which would take me down to the target I wanted to be at anyway :j :j

Sounds like that might be the answer - staring me in the face all along, as usual :o :rotfl:

Been a bit glum lately, most unlike me... :o but today I finally feel like I'm starting to come out the other side :j A lovely sunny day, the nice Big Issue seller pointed out Jupiter to me this morning :) Fieldwork was lovely, and also finished t lunchtime so I sneaked off (not really) to meet my little sister for an unexpected lunch, then went and collected her boys from school with her :j :j Lovely to see them all, even if just for a little bit :):)

    Bit spendy though :o

    £1.50 bus to town
£3 tea on train for me and cheery office pal
    £9 lunch me and sister
£4 chocolatey treats for boys (and, er, us too :o :rotfl: )
£3.50 donation at meeting (we were running a bit short to pay the rent!)

Working at home tomorrow, so I'm going to aim for a NSD :money:

Need to take new car to garage - should be £30 plus whatever it costs to fix the bolt I broke at the weekend :o

Will also run 4 miles in the morning - free :D

Also need to ring roofer (will I EVER get the roof fixed properly?? I probably could have done an advanced roofing course and fixed the blithering thing myself by now - probably would have been cheaper too!!)

And need to scrap old car - but that'll depend if Mr Cheery got round to taking everything out of it... Might be able to arrange to get it collected on Friday though.

Right now though I'm thinking a quick bath and jim jams :D
  • Sounds like a result all round, takes a bit of sunshine sometimes to make you feel more 'yourself'.

Enjoy some floppage and excellent seizing the day stuff :)

    floppage :D

Woke in the middle of the night remembering that I actually got a taxi back from the station last night - £7 :o :rotfl:

Wonder what other horrors I've forgotten??

Car gone to garage (again) - nearly slapped the smirk off the guys face when I told him I'd only had it a fortnight

Suppose I'll find out later what the damage is...

Good luck pippi... no word about mine yet...

Trying to keep an eye on the gas & electric from now on, sending in proper meter readings, actually checking bills etc...

It seems from 15th Jan to 15th Feb, we used

    £52.69 electric
    £129.59 gas

So with VAT etc (and intrest to us of 29p for being in credit :rotfl: ) that was £191.10.

However, we were already several hundred quid in credit, and DD is now £120 a month, so we're still £182.39 in credit even after all that...

Starting to get warmer now so we're having the heating on less (although still not depriving ourselves, I do so hate being too chilly...). Hopefully that positive balance will tide us over the next few months and perhaps even into the winter too!

Right, just spoken to the garage - apparently the 'nearside bottom ball joint was nearly falling off' (whatever that means :o ). Anyway, between that and the tracking that's the swerving and mad noises taken care of, and they're going to replace the stupid self locking wheel nut things with ordinary ones while they're messing with it :j

£102 all in (plus a tiny bit extra for reattaching the spare wheel cage after I snapped it off :o )

Altogether this car will have cost

    £1550 for the car
£160 service and whatever they did last week - and I might ring and ask them why they didn't notice (or, heaven forbid, actually *caused*) this ball joint was falling off
    £102 today
    £100 spare key
    = £1912

plus whatever it'll cost if we decide to fix the sunroof.

Not too bad, pretty much what we'd budgeted, but I shall be glad when it's all over and I have to stop talking to garages!

I'm glad its within budget, Cheery - no idea what any of that *means*, of course, and there's the time taken in getting to the garage, as well. I guess everything has teething problems - I can't make my new camera charge from its own lead, for instance, I'm using the phone charger ... fiddly! Luckily, its from John Lewis, so its insured eternally (so to speak :):):) )

I'm not really sure what most of it means myself kc :o :rotfl:

Hope your camera gets sorted soon.

    Couple more spends to declare:

    £1.50 bus fare
    £1 meeting donation
    £1.25 chocolatey treats :o

    So much for a NSD!!

Ah well, last day of Feb tomorrow! :j :j Should just be work travel I *think* unless I end up out in the evening. We'll see.

Right, time for curling up with a hot water bottle I think :j :j
  • YAY for 29p in credit.

    :)
