Cheery's buttling diary: tea in one hand, plant pot in the other, running shoes on

I did indeed
Now have the opposite problem - I'm so worn out after a 3 hour meeting that I can hardly bring myself to stand up in order to go home!
Best had though, else I'll still be here tomorrow! :rotfl:
Early night tonight I think...0 -
Well I made it home but then had one of those dozy evenings where you stay up but not doing anything productive and was still up when Mr Cheery came home at 1am  Dozed on sofa, went to bed at 2am just as neighbours came in... I fell asleep although woke a few times in the night (couldn't hear neighbours, think I was just wondering where Mr Cheery was!) - turns out Mr Cheery slept in the attic and is still there...
So I'm struggling to get going this morning :rotfl: and because Mr Cheery is still asleep in the attic, I'm having to work on the sofa, which is hardly ideal and I've barely started
I confess I'm a bit fed up of January now:rotfl: Seems to have been going on for a while. Although yesterday it was actually LIGHT (just about) when I left the office and cycled across the common :j :j I could actually SEE pedestrians wandering about the path so could go a bit faster! :rotfl: (not to run them over, you understand  but because I could see them I could go round them and didn't have to be so hesitant!)
Nothing financial to report except a 10p transfer to the VSP :rotfl: Co-op has started its new internet banking - mostly just bigger writing than the old one from what I can see, and it's more difficult to get back to the 'all accounts' screen. The page where you transfer from one account to another is quite confusing but that might be because I've done so many daft transfers in the past and have so many accountsI'm sure I'll get used to it.
Payday on Friday, and I'm VERY excited about starting a new YNAB month - not least because most of my discretionary categories are down to £0:rotfl: Other categories are building up nicely though, and I'll be able to add a nice chunk to the Patchwork Fund :j :j
Car insurance and RAC both due in Feb, and both already saved for :j RAC we usually get for £65 ish so that's ok (although I'll check we can't do cheaper), and I've got £250 saved for the car insurance so *might* be able to shave a little off that....
Anyway, enough waffling! :rotfl:
No spends planned for today (Except perhaps a small donation at meeting tonight). Tomorrow I'm out for lunch with a pal, and might buy hers too since she bought mine last time.
Going to London for the weekend with some friends - not a cheap trip but shouldn't be too bad - bought my train tickets weeks ago for £40 return :money: and have 2 nights in a hotel for a total of £75 so it could have been much worse! Need to pay for 2 x lunch and 2 x dinner plus drinks and tube (if necessary, will check) - I reckon a max of another £70 should do it so that's still under £200 for the whole lot.
Right, must crack on!0 -
Oh dear to Mr Cheery spending night in the attic. DH spent the night in DS's bed as DS was in with me so we had musical beds last night too. Hope you have managed to get some work done.
:j to new YNAB month. I'm glad it's helping you xGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Thanks Starnac
Just had a leaflet through the door containing 25 BOGOF pizza vouchers  :rotfl:
Is it even possible to eat 50 pizzas in the next 10 weeks?! :rotfl: :rotfl:
Not sure I've ever ordered a pizza in my life! (Ordered plenty of takeaways, you understand... just never a pizza...)0 -
Maybe you should throw a pizza party??? :rotfl:Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000

Maybe I should
:rotfl:
I suppose it's quite a saving if you often eat takeaway pizzas! Unless it encourages you to buy two instead of one - in which case you might end up having to pay slimming club membership too I suppose :rotfl:
(speaking of which, only lost 0.5lbs this week, ridiculous! )0 -

Which negates the BOGOF saving :rotfl:Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Pizza Day!
I've noticed the afternoons getting later (and I'm awfully glad you're not intending to run over the pedestrians, time in prison might inconvenience your lifestyle somewhat :rotfl:) and there are bulbs peeping out of the soil too :j
And you have a London trip! Nice onehave a great time :j
2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Thanks KC
Yes, being in prison would indeed hamper my lifestyle somewhat :rotfl: Although perhaps it would be pretty frugal? Spending-wise at least, although I suppose I wouldn't really be earning anything either :rotfl:
Best stick to watching where I'm going I suppose :rotfl:0 -
