    4.5lbs :j :j Not too bad at all! :j

Also quite pleased with myself and foldy bike - despite its rattliness (which I really MUST sort out at some point) we managed to get further up the hill before dismounting than ever before :D Each day we get a bit further as I get a bit fitter - I reckon by next year we might be able o get all the way home from the station without walking :rotfl: :rotfl:

Not so impressed that it actually started to SNOW on me on the way home though  Only tiny flakes but it's settled and the road is all white again now... I've filled the hot water bottle and I'm not going out again til Thursday morning :D

How funny Starnac! Just need to do the same for another couple of weeks and I'm all set :rotfl:

Gosh, it's FREEEEEZING!! Got a good 4 inches of snow in the garden and it's still going. I'm in the attic again with woolly cardi, sleeveless gloves, 2 little heaters. thermal socks and a hot water bottle and I'm still not properly cosy  Resisting the urge to get under a blanket as I fear I may never do any work at all if I start down that road! :rotfl:

Al Anon meeting tonight and I'd said I'd give someone a lift but there's no way I'm driving in this so I'll be wrapping up warm and walking - she can walk with me if she likes! It's only about 2 miles but down an enormous windy hill and back up again - it'll be a bit of a trek but doable walking, but there's no way I'd get up in the car even if I did get down in one piece!

Nothing else money-wise to report today. Still eating frozen banana mountain in porridge for breakfasts :rotfl:

Had a look through Martin's email and it got me thinking about reclaiming things... I *know* we had a refund due from old energy supplier but somehow Mr Cheery squirrelled the post away without opening it and when I did find it, it said we only had so many weeks to claim and they'd passed  Martin seems to think we can claim within 6 years so I might give it a try...

Also, Mr Cheery has one of those mad bank accounts where you pay a monthly fee  and get useless things like travel insurance and goodness knows what that we don't use. He maintains they never told him and just turned his account into one of those without telling him. I think it was one that if you pay in over £1000 a month, you don't pay, but when he left work and so didn't have wages going in, the charges kicked in. I'm pretty sure he had a letter, he reckons he didn't.

Might attempt a claim on that too although I confess it feels rather cheeky since we've actually known about it for years now...

Anyway, will think about all that later. Got back into the habit of trying to think about *something* financial every day at least! :money:

Just to add to the SW thing Cheery, I've just got home to a SW book pushed through my letterbox  I'm really hoping my friend did it otherwise I think I may be offended :rotfl:

I'm on a money mission too. I've been on the phone this morning trying to claim back money that is owed to us from a company. They keep fobbing us off but something clicked while we were away and I'm not going to stand for it anymore. I've had enough. It's my money and I'm fed up of struggling when they owe us quite a bit!

Good luck with your claims. Hope you get something back.

    Quite :D

Well, my meeting this evening was cancelled so no need to go anywhere :j :j

We did have an amble to the shops in the snow this morning though - bought a children's Hamley's telescope set in a charity shop for £4.99 :j That'll do nicely for a birthday present for a nephew at some point! :j

I've had that a couple of times, especially from spreadbetting and share schemes. I ended up both times metaphorically stamping my foot, and saying its my money, give it to me. I think they were just trying to pretend the other staff member was the boss and give me the runaround as long as they could :(

Cheery, thats a lot of snow! But what a great present to find! I did an astronomy diploma a while back, and looked through a 12" telescope with hydrogen filter at sunspots - it was amazing :)

That sounds very exciting indeed KC! :j This one merely promises you can see craters on the moon - but that ought to be exciting enough for a 6 year old :D

Learned tonight that ex boyfriend's girlfriend is having a baby. Considering he left me 11 years ago with the immortal words 'i want children - but not yours' (!) it's taken him a while to get round to it!! :rotfl:
