  • Just about to meet friend who lives in Australia for tea so might be a reasonably spendy evening, hopefully not too bad.

Cheery - you never cease to amaze me with your boundless energy levels. I mean, nipping to Australia to have yer tea? Phew! ............. :D:p

Not too bad in the end actually (even with the plane fare!) :D

    £1.60 cup of tea :D
Ex phd supervisor bought me a cider :D
    £17 on a curry
    £1.70 bus home :D

Going to have to give foldy bike a good talking to - chain fell off and got trapped in folding mechanism TWICE today (when folding up, not when cycling fortunately!) Clearly i've messed things up a little with all my fettling over Christmas...

Hope you ae not *too* jet lagged this morning after your tea in Australia ;) You ladies do make me laugh!! :rotfl:

Did you manage to sort your bike out? That sounds a bit dangerous if the chain keeps falling off never mind getting trapped in folding mechanism too

Tell me more about "the Chocolate Shop"....... Was it as nice as it sounds??

    Not been yet - that's this afternoon's excitement :j :j

*Think* I've fixed foldy bike now :j :j A bolt was a bit loose and so making things wobble - not affecting it while I was riding it, but was making things not align properly when I folded it, meaning the chain was falling off.

Still, I think it's fixed now and I've just folded it with no problems :j

Had tea with a pal this morning, utterly lovely :j And Jack Fultons had camembert reduced to 75p :money: so I bought 3 and bunged them in the freezer :j Did that with brie last week and it was fine when defrosted so I'm sure this will be too :j

Just scoffing a teacake :o Stood on a friend's scales this morning and appear to have put on an entire stone since I stopped going to Slimming World in October - need to take myself in hand again!

...thought I'd sneak on to report that £250 of the 'claim' money has hit the bank account...

...still a couple of more claims to go to replenish the revolving door that is my expense account!...

...GP also got an extra £50 we were not expecting so that can go to groceries!

so £300 back where it belongs - in our bank accounts instead of someone elses!:D

    :j :j Well done you! :D :j :j :j Best place for it :D

Nowt to report here. Went out for an egg butty yesterday with the treats budget, and bought a couple of birthday presents from the birthday present fund but all good :)

Off to visit family today so will need to top up the diesel - there's £40 in the diesel account but I'll just fill the tank and the rest can come from the No Quibble pot as we're off to the Dales next weekend to stay in a friend's cottage :j :j Very jolly :j :j

Have a good one all! :)
