saved 16 pounds by swapping Starbucks with mellow birds and they taste the same

The best instant is Kenco Millicano wholebean. A bit pricey but I buy it when it's on offer (which it regularly is) at £2 for 100g. Tastes the closest to ground coffee IMO.0

I've not had mellow birds for years, to be fair I used to like it as I am not so keen on strong coffee. OP I quite fancy a cup now.
Can't comment in Starbucks or anywhere like that as never been to one. Normally use little caf!s etc if I want a hot drink when out, and then normally have hot chocolate as don't normally like the coffee.0 -

Surely whether something is best or not is subjective? We don't all share the same taste otherwise there'd only be one brand of coffee available. I don't actually like Kenco and I expect there are people who don't like the brand of coffee I drink either“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

Or your ethical bone kicked in?
Can I ask why it should? There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -

This isn't a thread do discuss coffee tastes. But if you like mild milky coffee then mellow birds is Yumyum.
Just because it has a non pretentious name doesn't mean it isn't quality.0
