There is a lot of snobbery here. Mellow birds doesn't have a foreign pretentious name like something noir but it is a great drink.
If you don't like Starbucks then this deal isn't for you.
It is worth remembering one of the poshest birds in the coubtry (Joanna Lumlea) drinks mellow birds0 -
i used to love mellow birds didn't realise it could still be bought! thanks for the tip0

No snobbery about it, on my part at least. I genuinely didn't know Mellow Birds still existed. My last recollection of it was whilst living at home with parents (30+ yrs ago) and they weren't big coffee drinkers so kept it primarily for visitors. It tasted rank to me then. I much preferred Nescafe. However, I wouldn't even drink Nescafe today. Guess our tastebuds change over the years.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

Or your ethical bone kicked in?
Maybe. It's years since I've chosen to drink Nescafe and to be honest can't remember why I stopped.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
If you've found something you like, and have managed a saving then all power to you. However it's hardly snobbery to be critical over Mellow Birds. I used to work with someone who brought a jar into the kitchen at work. So on occasion when it wasn't my turn to brew up I'd be handed a cup of it. One mouthful was enough. I can't stand the stuff.
