How does a young man plan his wedding without any money or a place to live? Can this be done?

    No.

Why don't you have any money?

You don't need much but you need some!

Having somewhere to live isn't vital but you will need a little bit of money to at least pay for the legal bits.

Both of you? No jobs? No homes?

Earnings are minimum wage, currently live separately. Where does one start?
Savings, not much. What legal bills are involved?

This article (found by Googling) suggests that you need around £200 for the legalities. Other articles suggest £100.

Contact a local registry office and ask.

You said 'no' accommodation...? What about after you're married?

In your last thread you mentioned earnings of £28k.

If you've got no jobs and no accommodation you've probably got bigger priorities than a wedding.

    Then they came for me

  • It can cost as little as £120 to have a civil wedding at a registry office (£35 each to give notice, £45 for basic ceremony, £4 for a certificate)....some people would be happy with that very simple wedding, many would want a bit more. Really it's up to you and your partner to discuss what you want and then plan/save in order to achieve that. Personally, I wouldn't be in any rush to get married until I had a bit more financial stability.
Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!

Wages change very quickly these days if you are laid off from your job. I will see the other responses. Purpose of the marriage is to live together. It is almost impossible these days.
