    I miss not having a dog ,
But I am not going to get one .

They are a bit! So I always cook and mash them by themselves first, then drain off the fat using a colander over a bowl, before putting the meat back in the pan and adding wine seasonings and veg and continuing the recipe. The garden birds love the fat mixed with seeds and brown bread, and we much prefer our mince/burger dishes a little less fatty.

Much better idea than mine. Thank you.
  • Mine keeps falling asleep, but as soon as I move he is wide awake and tell me he is enjoying the game! I didn't know he snored whilst watching telly!!!!!

My Dad's favourite excuse, when Mum catches him snoring in front of the telly when sport's on, is "No I wasn't asleep - I was just resting my eyes".

Is anyone else as pi%#}<> as me? Yes I know we should count our blessings daily, many are in genuine misery but just sometimes everything and everybody gets on your wick so much you could scream ..

Firstly I am so fed up of the rain and the howling and gusting wind, really getting on my nerves.

I've also had a look at the TV schedule for tonight - The Bridge is finished. Instead there is rugby, Winter Olympics. Game shows, old dated and tired films and repeats ... We are going to end up having a neighbours fest, very tragic for a Saturday night.

I've also got a cat lodged under my armpit who won't go and sleep elsewhere so I he is constantly in the way as I'm typing.

My main angst is the on going problems I am having with emails. OH could not get it sorted out on the old computer so he installed outlook 2010 on the new computer a week ago which was great except it isn't.

I have a very long list of inbox folders and message rules on the old system which works fine for me, everything that comes in slots straight into an inbox folder I just have to set up the same system on the new computer but its not exactly the same. If OH would listen to me and let me just try and work it out for myself then I might get the gist of it.

Old system re downloaded years old emails in triplicate, long deleted so once I've set the folders up again I can delete as I go along and restore harmony and order again to my emails.

Instead OH has showed me a help video which I did not understand one word of and printed off some sheets which again make no sense - something about pst files, saving emails and folders and archiving. None of which I've ever needed to do before, I just want to get on with the process of making folders and message rules.

So then OH says he has lost a set up disc. I say have you had a look in the black folder (the folder has all of the stuff and discs that came with the computer) OH ignores me and starts looking in every nook and cranny and corner and drawer for the missing disc. I give up figuring out OUtlook 2010 as he is in the way and leave the computer room to him still looking for the disc.

I retreat to the iPad with the annoying black cat.

an hour later OH asks me where the black folder is and I point him at the correct set of draws in the dining room - he can't find these draws as he has only lived here for 25 years. Underneath the black folder is the missing disc OH has been looking for.

OH now says I am making him Ill.

Making me feel a bit queasy

  • I said to mine... ooh I cannot wait for May and the end of the season, he just laughed at me and said football was on continuously this year! Divorce time!!!

    Oh no :eek::eek::eek::eek:

(A young girl is looking at some pony books)
    BOOKSELLER: Do you like horses?
YOUNG GIRL: Yes. When I grow up I’m going to have a pony.
    BOOKSELLER: That sounds like fun.
YOUNG GIRL: Yes. And it will be better than all the other ponies.
    BOOKSELLER: How come?
YOUNG GIRL: Because mine will have a purple tail. And roller-skates.
