Been busy all morning scrubbing kitchen floor. Radiator being moved tuesday ( as oh had it moved to a side wall before he moved out as he was going to open up chimney- so kitchen is always cold) so decorating tommorow in preparation and decided the tiles need a good clean. I have a couple of lovely radiator covers in shed thought I might use one in kitchen but do they stop the heat getting out?
Yes they do! We've just had some new radiators put in and decided not to cover them up this time. Heating guy said they lose up to 25% of the heat to the room. The manufacturers quote less because of the way they calculate it, but its a lot less heat to the room. Also had a letter in post to say I might be a match for a bone marrow patient. How exciting!!

Jelly this made me laugh
My favourite story is the first one ... who wouldn't want to be a bumblebee?
And on that theme, I'll chuck this into the Saturday Evening Discussion Pot, in case the conversation starts to flag:
When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
(and did you manage to become that?)
I'll start: I wanted to be a fire engine driver, on one of those big American articulated fire trucks with the turntable ladder. Sadly, I'm not:('It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'

DS2 wanted to be a pilot in the Red Arrows. After a few holidays we realised he suffered air sickness, so that was a non-starter.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Good evening everyoneSarahdol75 wrote: »Good morning everyone.
Yes, we have birds, thousands of them in fact, starlings, in the trees behind our house, they have been in there for a few weeks now, and my they are very very noisy, until around 10.30 at night and then start again around 6.30 - 7am, until they all fly off and do the lovely dance in the sky.
When they fly together like this, they're called a murmuration of starlingsThe mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work unless it's open0 -
i asked my two boys the other day what they wanted to be when they are grown up:
DS2 said a fire fighter man or a baker man
DS1 said a ninja warrior0 -
