And on that theme, I'll chuck this into the Saturday Evening Discussion Pot, in case the conversation starts to flag:
When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
(and did you manage to become that?)
I'll start: I wanted to be a fire engine driver, on one of those big American articulated fire trucks with the turntable ladder. Sadly, I'm not:(

For first couple months I was wishing I hadn't fetched her home she was so naughty. I felt sorry for her wondering what sort of house she had come from. All I knew about her was she was found wandering around the streets of Manchester.
Then one day she was a good girl and been good ever since apart from barking at most dogs when we are on walkies
tweets you are an :A. She obviously knew she'd fallen on her feet and you were made for each other.Hope is not a strategy.0 -

Hi all.
Hope you are all having a good day. How are the glamorous TWEETS and the adorable POPPY?
Just nipping on to say I got my letter from the elections office asking for my availability when the elections are. It's a good earner be it just for one day. I am sure a lot of you have done it already and know all about it. I've posted on the main board as well. Details are below:

Poppy lay by my side and I using her for an armrest
I love it when I come home from work or shopping and she jumps up for a mummy huggle then looks at her harness for walkies.

This is so exciting.
How did you go about getting on the bone marrow list?
I've been donating blood forever but I was rejected as a platelet donor - wrong sort of veins - apparently young men have ideal veinsI was too old to donate eggs
I wondered about bone marrow though ...
When I was still giving blood I signed up. I haven't given blood for about 3 years as I was asked to stop as I had a blood transfusion when I had my son 30 years ago and they said they could not take my blood anymore. Here are a couple of links with details of how to sign up.
