    Had a lovely time with my grand daughter today then they went out and left the dog
    its very funny how you never feel alone in the house

    even if the dog is asleep

    I miss not having a dog ,
    But I am not going to get one .
    I stay clear of puppies and dog shelters
    as I would bring them all home

    Glad you had a good day, how old is she?

    Glad you got it sorted :j:j

    Not glad about the reason. If that recorder was less than a year old I would be complaining to the manufacturer (as you have lost the receipt:o) . Doesn't matter how much you paid, it should still have lasted.

    We were already on our 2nd one, replacement should have been £90 odd but customer service let us have a straight swap. This 2nd one is just over year old so think I probably got my £30 worth.

    Actually the signal straight through the tv is much better we have a few more channels. :eek:

    Is anyone else as pi%#}<> as me? Yes I know we should count our blessings daily, many are in genuine misery but just sometimes everything and everybody gets on your wick so much you could scream ..

    Firstly I am so fed up of the rain and the howling and gusting wind, really getting on my nerves.

    I've also had a look at the TV schedule for tonight - The Bridge is finished. Instead there is rugby, Winter Olympics. Game shows, old dated and tired films and repeats ... We are going to end up having a neighbours fest, very tragic for a Saturday night.

    I've also got a cat lodged under my armpit who won't go and sleep elsewhere so I he is constantly in the way as I'm typing.

    My main angst is the on going problems I am having with emails. OH could not get it sorted out on the old computer so he installed outlook 2010 on the new computer a week ago which was great except it isn't.

    I have a very long list of inbox folders and message rules on the old system which works fine for me, everything that comes in slots straight into an inbox folder I just have to set up the same system on the new computer but its not exactly the same. If OH would listen to me and let me just try and work it out for myself then I might get the gist of it.

    Old system re downloaded years old emails in triplicate, long deleted so once I've set the folders up again I can delete as I go along and restore harmony and order again to my emails.

    Instead OH has showed me a help video which I did not understand one word of and printed off some sheets which again make no sense - something about pst files, saving emails and folders and archiving. None of which I've ever needed to do before, I just want to get on with the process of making folders and message rules.

    So then OH says he has lost a set up disc. I say have you had a look in the black folder (the folder has all of the stuff and discs that came with the computer) OH ignores me and starts looking in every nook and cranny and corner and drawer for the missing disc. I give up figuring out OUtlook 2010 as he is in the way and leave the computer room to him still looking for the disc.

    I retreat to the iPad with the annoying black cat.

    an hour later OH asks me where the black folder is and I point him at the correct set of draws in the dining room - he can't find these draws as he has only lived here for 25 years. Underneath the black folder is the missing disc OH has been looking for.

    OH now says I am making him Ill.

    The annoying thing is that it sound like it was faulty all along then! We have had one we got from Lidl for probably about 10 years, paid around £80 for it though!

    mhoc - I find punching the bed helps :eek: Where I used to work when my manager got on my nerves I used to go and punch a box of crisps, although in the end I had to leave or I would have punched him!

  • Afternoon all, hugs to all going through stuff at the moment and hope nobody has been flooded out. Just in the door and having a coffee after being in Mr Shoes and Mr Ts. Hubby watching the rugby and grumping like h##l. Anyway a wee glitch with potential;

    MR SHOES

    Bought kids socks (half-price £2) and nappies and noticed the following;

    3 for 2
    Socks £4.00 (full-price)
    Nappies £3.19
    Nappies .00
    saving £3.19

    Save
    - £2.00 from the socks

    So buy an item reduced and on 3 for 2, make sure that your other items are less than the full-price of the reduced item and your 3rd item will be free instead of the cheapest item.

    Also got a couple of the toothpaste for 9p each with vouchers. (Cheers op/s). Tillspit of £5 off when you spend £20 or more on electrical beauty and was given a voucher for £5 off selected fragrances.

    Mr Ts
    1p hunt ;

    3x Avengers Single Duvet Sets
    12 x Packs of 6 Football Candles
    1 x Pack of Silver Paper Plates

    also found 1p clothes marker pens but would not go through the till, had to leave them.

    Fair chuffed getting 1p items so many thanks to any ops who may have mentioned the items. Just love the hand scanners.

    Happy Shopping all. xx
  • Just thought, in my T there was a load of Value Deep Fat Fryers reduced from £15 to £8. Couldn't check the original barcode but might be worth a scan if you have some unstickered ones.
