Just have to share something with you all.

Few of you know I always go to a music festival each year, well bought Early Bird tickets before xmas and had no idea who was playing any of the 5 days.

Since the fest extended to a Wednesday it has always been either Van Morrison or Jools Holland on that day, so we have not always booked to go but lucky we did this year.

They have just announced today the headliner is none other than......

    :j:j:j Mr Tom Jones :j:j:j

needless to say I am soooo excited. :D:D:D

I am my worst enemy, got those candles last week when they were 10p. :o

And the shiny balls for 75p couple weeks back, only got the one pack of those but they were long gone before it all went to 1p.

I have been skipping but noticed you hit lucky with the Quality Street. :T

After my store having loads of them there was only 2 left when they finally got to the magic price. I can't believe all those 16p bars disappeared without a trace.

Do you mean the 16p Cadbury Snowmen? My store had crates and crates of them and all of a sudden they just disappeared.

Also, yesterday lunchtime my store had tons of those Divine chocs, some gingerbread snowmen, some of those gingerbread house kits and a load of Thorntns Christmas packaged fudge. All still full price. By the time DH went for whoopsies in the evening it had all disappeared and the aisle was being filled with Valentines products.

What I want to know is where has it all gone?

Thank you to everyone whose advice has helped me in my desperate quest to make ends meet. x

EDIT-Back on the quest, I've been away too long!

Hahaha, it's OK. The only thing I actually wanted was the posh earphones but hey ho.

    How's the lovely Poppy?

You can laugh at me tomorrow if my T's trip is unsuccessful which headphones you after the JVC ones ? :) My store is normally on the ball but I might find 1 box chocs like last year :rotfl::rotfl:

Poppy is back to her normal self being a pest but I rather have her like this than down in the dumps :j:j

    Afternoon everyone :)

Shelves restocked with the Lindor Caramels,Thorntons Toffee, and ES orange flutes. Also big bags Cadbury wishes and the white choc Galaxy gift bars :j This is the most 1p Xmas chocs I have ever got my mitts on :j Mint flutes still scanning £2.50 :(

New to me but probably not to you guys is box Tesco Chocolate coated Fudge and Toffee assortment - nice box, bbe June 2014.

    http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/tesco-price-comparison/boxed_chocolates/tesco_collection_christmas_fudge_and_toffee_assortment_165g.html

And a couple of shelves of the lovely Pentel sets posted by caroc on Grabbit - really nice set and think they are new stock. Will try and get some more at the weekend. Seeing Scamps post makes me think there is lots more to be spotted in the stationery aisle.

Thanks to all who post these finds - am sure there are lots more out there ....

I got some of these, there are 2 different barcodes for the same set. The one ending 18 is £8  the one ending 31 is 1p. :T

    Big thanks to caroc. :D

All of the sets ending "18" had pink bits in whereas "31" has blue, although one set I found with pink but think probably wrong label put on. ;)

Try this one as well, cjj, another of Irish origin, for a miserable person:
"With a face like that, you wouldn't wash the corpse."

And Yorkshire folk, being so miserable by nature:wink:, have lots of similar sayings, mainly to describe each other:

“She teks more pleasure at them she sees in t’ churchyard than at them what she hears in t’ church.”

"As mawngy as an owd cat."

“Ah, she is always talkin’ uphill.”

“Ee, she’s as miserable as sin! Nivver speaks to anybody, and when she does she says nowt.”

    I'm a Yorkshire lass lol
Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

No matter how you feel, get up, dress up & never give up.
