Mixed experience for me at Ts today

I saw a guy with a cage of stock that he seemed to be price checking before putting on display. It included a full display stand of the jaffa cake yardsticks

Me: Can I take a couple of those please? (by "take" I only really meant as far as the scanner ;))
Him: Sure, but I have to check the price first incase they are 1p.
    Me: really?
Him: Yes, lots of things are only 1p just now but we're not allowed to sell them
Me: I thought you could. Your FB says you can
Him: No we're not allowed. Anyway, these are £3 so how many do you want
    Me:  None! :rotfl:

Then I went through a till with my trolley of other 1p bargains and SA remarked "wow, are these all 1p? Well done!" :rotfl:

So thats very clearly a game of two halves....

Got 3 of the Plenty Big ones in T's. Used 3 £1 coupons from recent t's magazine and one 50p moc I got sent in the post. So £2.50 for 3 of them. Paid for this seperate as more expensive in the other supermarkets then got a till spit for 30p off cravendale. :money:
Might not match your 1p bargains but its something we will use ;)

In T's earlier, I went to SS and quickly scanned and bagged my Thortons toffee. Then scanned the 1p pencil cases (i got two) and it asked for SA override. I grabbed the young lad and said "the shelf price was 1p, dont know why it's doing that" and he just said, ok and left me to it. He wasnt bothered at all :D:T

I only took a couple boxes of the Amaretto to give as wee gifts (to people I don't much like :rotfl:) so I can't check that. I could see if it's on the Quality Street carton later but I binned the top half of the box so I don't know if its still there

Feel free to not like me very much, I think they're yummy :D

OH and I were laughing only the other day about an Elite member (was it Ilovetesco?) who shared that he'd never been asked if he was a friend of Martin's, but had once been asked if he was a friend of Dorothy's. :rotfl:

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
One of my favourite sayings (not from Urban Dictionary, it's Irish I think), for someone who is not particularly welcome at a social gathering:

"If he/she was thrown after you, you wouldn’t turn round to see what the clatter was."
    :)

Never heard this one JB but I love it. Gonna try and remember it in case it have a need to say it lol.

    Anyone seen willowwhispy lately ?
Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

No matter how you feel, get up, dress up & never give up.

We do feel helpless and wish they could speak and tell us what was wrong.

Mum said on phone this morning I would be better taking her hers before work and collecting after so Poppy wouldn't be on her own  I soon said NO to that . Even though bus I get to and from work stops outside mums flats I travel opposite direction on it don't pass mums.

I could never get used to 6am starts again getting up at 5am again is a big no no. :D

Hope my boys continue to do well. I couldn't be angry when they lost in cup to Sunderland because it was such a brills match. :)

poppys been fine upto now so sure she will be ok now shes feeling better but nice try by your mum.:D
our match the other night was good but not looking forward to the arsenal matches.:o
