Mixed experience for me at Ts today

I saw a guy with a cage of stock that he seemed to be price checking before putting on display. It included a full display stand of the jaffa cake yardsticks

Me: Can I take a couple of those please? (by "take" I only really meant as far as the scanner ;))
Him: Sure, but I have to check the price first incase they are 1p.
    Me: really?
Him: Yes, lots of things are only 1p just now but we're not allowed to sell them
Me: I thought you could. Your FB says you can
Him: No we're not allowed. Anyway, these are £3 so how many do you want
    Me:  None! :rotfl:

Then I went through a till with my trolley of other 1p bargains and SA remarked "wow, are these all 1p? Well done!" :rotfl:

In T's earlier, I went to SS and quickly scanned and bagged my Thortons toffee. Then scanned the 1p pencil cases (i got two) and it asked for SA override. I grabbed the young lad and said "the shelf price was 1p, dont know why it's doing that" and he just said, ok and left me to it. He wasnt bothered at all :D:T

Its strange to say the least such a lot of conflicting opinions its like the old saying "the back leg does not know what the front legs doing":rotfl::rotfl:

Mrs S good news about Mitchy cat.
Hope she soon recovers from her bite though :(
I have to say I do like foxes though., obviously not the one that bit our Mitchy . I feel like they all look half starved to death and it's no wonder they take up residence in towns to get at food easier.

    Thanks hun.
Thank you to everyone else for your kind words as well :):A

    Forgot to say
Did my first ever c&c at Ts with half price offers.
Used £15 off wys £60 I had been sent. When I got there, no sign of £15 evoucher on receipt and looked like the full £30 getting charged to card. Not sure what I did wrong tbh.
Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

    Definitely get the insurance

On this occasion it might not have been worth claiming even if you had cover
