Sorry I've been MIA for a couple of weeks - I have popped on now and then but not able to catch up on all. ...

Whoa Msgoggins - great to see you posting again! This is timely because you were the first person to welcome me on this thread once I'd built up enough confidence to post ...... I hope things are going well with you.....:j

What does this thread mean to me ........ my goodness it has been our saviour... I discovered you during the great rice pudding apg glitch. I'd landed by mistake here a few times but didn't figure it out. But one evening I had my eureka moment - so managed 3 weeks of shopping. This was so timely as you will know with the redundancy and then the illness. So from the money saving side - we have continued to eat well and put away bargains and still give prezzies to relatives for birthdays and xmas that I otherwise couldn't do. And (thank you Lutzil and Lawrie28 2 bikes for the kiddies at £26 - the best!).

Friendship wise - like logie - this has been my saviour and kept me in touch during less than pleasant times, and shared the good times too. I have a number of lovely virtual friends and a couple of you I have met too - hello Lutzil and Choirchick  I love the on-going jokes, the support (thank you the elite 5:2's as well and QoC), The night shift :happylove great company when the meds kept me awake. Yes you can come on anytime and there is usually someone here. :) I love how we all care for our organic family and go to great lengths to check peeps are ok ( :A mad...).

So a thank you to each and every one of you (and the lurkers ).
    Thanks
  • Do you cut them back after the fruit has finished or do you leave them?
I've a raspberry but its only its second year, I don't know if I should cut it back or leave....

I cut my raspberries right back to the extent that there is just a stick sticking out of the ground. They grow from the root so this helps them save energy. I must be doing something right because I normally get quite a prolific crop.

Struggling with my blueberries though, one bush grew well last year but the other seemed stunted, am wondering what I should do and whether I should cut it back.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
  • I've left mine on as neither of them did anything last year. I dont know if I should cut them back or not :o

Apparently you do cut them back..:o:rotfl:

I am sure this has already been noted, but the FABULOUS BAKING BOYS (or whatever they are called) CUPCAKES that are on offer with SHOPITIZE at £1 cashback for a box. I went to SADA and got some for £1. The packaging is different but I tried my luck and the £1 seems to have gone through to my account. So technically free, buy for £1 and get £1 back. Such fun.

Oh and my bad, afternoon all. Hope everyone is OK and in good health. Just a flying visit. Will catch up on all the posts later.

Just been having a look at Livingsocial and they have a days riot training for £79 in Droitwitch :rotfl:

I think a few people could have done with this the day of the Boots 70% sale!
