After deductions for fees and postage costs, my eBay items fetched £36.74. Nobody is more stunned than me by this, as they amounted to half a dozen ancient heavy metal albums that have been unplayed since we last had a record player donkey's years ago, plus a couple of items that were probably en route to the bin. At least one of the albums went for more than I can remember paying for it new in Woolies in 1990
Naturally, I'm beginning to see the appeal of eBay againAnd naturally, my camera decided that it all seemed like too much hard work and has shuffled off to the great photography equipment pile in the sky. I'll be borrowing the bargain camera I bought for my daughter's birthday when she returns from a weekend away, and in the meantime I'll be scouring the house for more items to rehome at a profit
Good luck and money-making vibes to all for the coming week and beyondDecember 'Make £10 A Day' Challenge - £1.82/£155.000 -
Husband sold his phone yesterday for £340, we have fees to come off that figure, and also he bought a new phone (was the deal if he sold that one) for £170, so will update what we actually make once the fees have come off.
I also helped a friend out as she was looking after a lady's horse for her.we were supposed to split the money equally between 3 of us that helped, but the lady has decided to split it between 4 people and has also decided to use the money for us to go on a night out for another person's birthday.
She did not ask me if this was okay, so I feel a bit miffed, but the money was never mine I suppose, the money was given to her and she was going to split it as we helped her (she has long shifts at work so needed our help else the jobs wouldn't have been done)
I feel very ungrateful for feeling a bit annoyed, but mostly just annoyed that I worked quite hard and was supposed to get £50 (for 2 weeks of helping morning and night) but now I get, well I don't know what as I don't know where we are supposed to be going for this birthday thing (for a 16year old)
All 3 of us who we're supposed to split this money have debts. We all have better uses for this money than a night out. Meh
(See, told you I was feeling very ungrateful, just feel like it was a lot of hard work and I am not getting the 'payment' I was promised, just got to suck it up haven't I!)£1k emergency fund (#33) £140/£1000 10.4%

I'm sooo rubbish at keeping up with this thread. I've been working 60ish hours a week and have been too exhausted to even open my laptop. The good thing about this is i've made lots of extra cash with tips. However next month i'm not gonna be including these as money made. The reason being because i've decided to quit of of my jobs. I'm making myself ill and exhausted so i've decided to stay at the job that makes me happiest, rather than the one that i can't face geting out of bed for somedays. So this means that from next month, i'm gonna have to get my butt into gear and start "making" some cash again. I've enjoyed my eBay break, however the time has come to start selling "junk" out of this house again. Not sure what i'm gonna sell! Will start this week by clearing out kids rooms/wardrobes and making my "ebay box" again! Wish me luck!
Anyway.... enough rambling from me. Money saved is £6 off a £40 spend at Mr T's, £5 gift voucher and around a masive £100 in tips (this is since i was last online). I'll add £110 to my total.
I hope everyone is well. Aesop i hope things are ok.
Ohh.... and i must tell you all i have managed to pay off another debt this month which makes me £40 a month better off!!! :T:T:T (Another reason why i've decided to leave a job, my debts are in much more control)
