Hoping this thread is a good incentive for us all to save money, keep things clean/de hoarded and something to look forward to. I couldn't add all this to my signature, and all the notes I leave around the house usually get binned or lost.

So a great way to keep a track of things I aim to buy in 2014 is to create a thread, will also be a good idea if we can help each other with good quality items and good deals.
So here is my list, I will edit to add things and cross out when purchased

[STRIKE]New Pan Set[/STRIKE] John lewis red pan set down from £90 to £0 (discount and vouchers)
[STRIKE]Utensil Holder[/STRIKE] £3.00 asda red
[STRIKE]Bread Bin[/STRIKE] £12 asda red
Kettle
Toaster
Plate set
Cutelry
Bread Maker
Sandwich toaster
Salt and pepper pots
Slow cooker
Wok
Towels/kitchen
Bath towels
Bath mat
Rug living room
Laundry basket
toothbrush holder set
dining room curtains
living room curtains
storage cupboard dining room
new cushions
3 vases

Need to make my home look like a home!!

Ah so you are starting from scratch - I see :j

  • Are you intending to replace existing items that you don`t like, or truly `starting from scratch`?
Either way, I`d hang on a bit till the carboot season starts ...

The thread should be re-titled; what we all have to buy in the average year.

If you are starting out, good luck, but get used to it, it's called life;);):T:T
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

my priorities for this year are:

    a new lawn mower
mattress (bedstead is fine but my existing Silent Night mattress has been useless since just after the guarantee expired)

worst case scenario, and the reason why I don't many other items on my list, is that I might have to replace my car. It's a 17 year old Toyota Avensis which I've had from new and always loved but it's costing more and more to keep it on the road (wear and tear) so I will reach a point soon when it's not cost effective.
  • I really want to buy one of those steam generator irons. I am hoping to save enough from my Swagbuck earnings so it wont cost me much/anything.
