That's agnosticism.
The next sentence answered that.
It is not a belief, it is a conclusion based on careful reasoning and on the best available evidence we have.0 -

Of course you can start an Atheists' Party to promote your interests, since you're so outraged by puritans respecting the feelings of ratepayers who believe in God. For no God and Ulster? I suspect you haven't a prayer.
I am not outraged and i have not said it should not have been banned. Please read my posts.
If you are going to ban something, ban it for the right reasons - because it is offensive to a particular group. Dont ban it based on religious stance.qwert_yuiop wrote: »
Here's a money making opportunity I'm happy to give away. Hire a hall, put on this play, and rake in the profits from the teeming masses yearning to break free from religious sensitivities that you seem to believe are just dying to pay for tickets. Probably.
Yup. You're right it is.
As can be seen now that it has been "unbanned". The ticket website crashed! :rotfl:
All they did was promote interest in it. If they had left people to make up their own minds chances are none of us would have heard of it happening.qwert_yuiop wrote: »
As for our man Jake - did you ever see a more colourless, cheerless, dismal, po-faced, humourless Wahhabi-style response from a "top" comedian? Even laugh a minute, cheeky chappy (not) Salman Rushdie managed to feature a Prime Minister called Mary Torture in the hilarious (not) Satanic Verses
Oh i know.0 -
qwert_yuiop wrote: »What if it's offensive because people think it's blasphemous?
Thats fine.
You're separating banning it for being offensive from a religious viewpoint.
These politicians are representing the whole community - not just christians.
If it was a muslim council banning it because it was blasphemous there would be just as much outcry - if not more. An elected group needs to represent its constituents not a particular religious faction.0 -
qwert_yuiop wrote: »Well no use whinging about it. Get yourself elected. As a previous poster said, in a democracy we get the politicians we deserve. Who knows maybe we even deserve you.
No ones whinging we're expressing an opinion.
We're a laughing stock - again. Its embarassing.0 -

It's going ahead!!
The decision of the DUP (Dictators Unionist Party) has been quashed, for now..
I see they want to review the role of the council artistic board's governance arrangements now however!
So the Dictators still strive to force their beliefs on us!!
I'm sure their fore-fathers will be proud of them having no doubt fought against another certain Dictator who tried to force his beliefs on the world!!
Yup and apparently the tickets website crashed due to the interest now generated.
Farcical.0 -
When the decision not to allow the play was taken, only 150 out of 800 tickets had been sold.
Now probably a sell out.
Call me cynical!0 -

We wish all infidels attending the screen a merry trip to the hellfire.0

Rather than protesting it I think all true evangelicals should turn up (maybe align with our roman neighbours in a display of solidarity) and hand out as many condoms, drugs, drink, dope, !!!!!! so you can have all the fun you want. It will also have the positive impact of substantively reducing your demographic so that in a generation or two we can reclaim this country, seize your infant descendants, and propagate to them whatever the hell we like.
